I do apologize for being late. I thought it was worth waiting for the verdict, which I immediately posted on the Personal Update. And was it ever worth while! I can’t stop crying but they are good tears.

The Lincoln Project

Glann Kirschner on Chauvin closing arguments. As of 4 pm EDT, there is a verdict. The Washington Post is covering it live. It is so fast that I am hopeful. And – YES

File under “No s***, Sherlock” – except that so many are ignorant of it.

Now This News – This happened in India. The mother is blind. It happened so fast, it loops four time in this one minute video (with no words.)

Beau exceeded 600K supporters yesterday, but still found time to post about the KKKaucus and its implications.

The Lincoln Project – Another reminder video. Well, that’s what we need. Otherwise people forget.

Now This News generally has CC both enabled and built in. This has neither. I can only imagine the person who posted it needed a hanky too – so much so as to forget CC

Ring of Fire – Interesting news from Texas

Corey Ryan Forrester (not shouty for once) – Boilerplate Conservative Campaign Ad

Beau – Questions about Chicago (Adam Toledo). Credit to Beau for being able to speak in a controlled manner. I think I’d be shrieking. (Ck CC)

The Lincoln Project – This one has a (wordless) musical background. But silence works.

Glenn Kirschner – Collusion, collusion, collusion. 7.5 minutes but a very big story (even though we knew it all the time!)

Now This News – Bookmark this for the next time someone says there’s no such thing as a good Christian.

VoteVets – So easy for something like this to get lost in other news.

Fugelsang – Governor Cuomo

Beau on police training and change

It’s a very painful day here in the CatBox. I been trying to Republicate without success. What I did produce was bloody. I now have a suppository up my butt and am am hoping for results. I hope I do better soon. The staff here are great, considering that I am such a crappy patient. WWWendy may visit me later. Success at last. I’m drenched in sweat and the throne is full.

PHP is a programming language used to build websites. We have it at all through our hosting partner, BlueHost. In order to update it, we have to go through Bluehost. During his life, TomCat was the only one who had access to our account there. I (JD) am now the only one. I have been to BlueHost and investigated updating our PHP to 8.3 or even to 8.1. I found instructions to do so - in fact, I found two conflicting sets of instructions. I went through one set of the steps and got the message that Our site could not handle 8.3, but that it had successfully updated to 8.1. I then went back here to see what it looked like. But I couldn't get in - either as an administrator or as a reader. It was just gone. I had to reach BlueHost by phone. It was determined that Politics Plus is in fact not compatible with any version of PHP newer than the one we have. BlueHost therefore uninstalled it for me, and the site came back to normal. Of course, like everyone else, I care about security. But I also am aware that TomCat elected to use different providers for several of the services that BlueHost provides, for instance backups. We are backed up daily - but not by BlueHost. However, out PHP is through Bluehost. I feel that if they are not worried about the older version, I am not going to worry about it. I believe that our security here is all or mostly through WordFence, whom I trust.
