It’s a muggy day here in the CatBox, and I’m back in the saddle after all.  WWWendy came earlier than expected yesterday.  I have a lot of work to do, so please pardon my brevity.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:36 (average 5:08).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Robert Reich Channel): Robert Reich: Should We Abolish Billionaires?

Of course the Reich on the left, Robert Reich, is right. The existence of billionaires is not the problem. The problem is the existence, advantages and policies of the greed-besotted Reich on the right, the Republican Reich. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Jesse Dollemore Channel): Ivanka Trump Pesters World Leaders at the G20 – Republicans Make Lame Excuses to the End!

Jesse nailed it. Remember though that Putin’s Pervert thinks Ivanka is so hot that she would be on his pussy-grabbing list, were she not his daughter. A grabbable pussy is all the qualification she needs for privilege in the Republican Reich! RESIST!!

From The New Yorker: Setting foot in North Korea for the first time, on Sunday, President Donald Trump praised that nation’s dictator, Kim Jong Un, for his efforts on immigration, telling Kim, “No one is trying to get into your country.”

After crossing into North Korea from the Demilitarized Zone, Trump remarked to the North Korean leader, “Your border is amazing! There are no people whatsoever trying to get in. You should see our border—it’s a complete mess.”

Barely containing his envy, Trump continued, “Of course, you don’t have Congress to deal with, like I do. They’ve caused all the problems I’ve had on immigration. You’ve got a much better deal. You want to build a wall, you build a wall. No one can tell you you can’t.”

Straight News, Andy. If the Fuhrer and the Republican Reich get their way, it will be just like that here.  RESIST!!

Last night was very hot and muggy, so I got very little sleep.  This is my only article today.  I learned last night that WWWendy cannot be here until 3 to 4 PM, so I will be up late tonight.  Therefore, please expect no more than a Personal Update tomorrow, with no links messages on Care2,

It’s a busy day here in the CatBox.  I spent four hour in blog maintenance, a large part of which was installing security software and filters incoming traffic and block Republican and Russian bots that are attacking the site thousands of times per hour.  (ADMINISTRATORS:  If it says your Name and/or Password are on their “bots might have it” list, it will warn you to change your password.  If you are locked out, email me to assign you a new password).  I’m feeling much better now, after flushing half the Republican Party.  Tomorrow, please expect no more than a Personal Update, with no links messages on Care2.  It will be a WWWendy day.  I’m late and rushing.

Short Takes:

From YouTube (CNN Channel): Biden letters reveal he resisted this desegregation tactic

His misstatements on this subject have caught up to him. Biden should come clean, apologize and withdraw. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Elizabeth Warren Channel): Elizabeth Warren speaks at 2019 Rainbow Push Coalition Convention

As usual, Liz scored 11 on the 1 to 10 scale. She’s still my #1.  Kamala moved up to #2.  Bernie fell to #3. RESIST!!

From The Independent: Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has been challenged by members of the crowd after suggesting that mocking a “gay waiter” was seen as socially acceptable five years ago.

Mr. Biden made the remarks at a fundraising event hosted by former Microsoft president Jon Shirley in the wealthy Seattle suburb of Medina, which is home to billionaires including Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos.

The former vice president suggested that half a decade ago, someone at a business lunch could poke fun at a gay waiter and others at the table would silently sit by.

But some in the crowd interjected by saying: “Not in Seattle”.

Why can’t he have an event without a gaffe? He’s just that far out of touch. RESIST!!

It’s a seasonal day here in the CatBox.  WWWendy left for Vegas at 4:00 AM.  I sure hope she does not become a showgirl.  For some reason, I woke up exhausted.  It was a real fight just to drag my ass out of bed.  TGIF Hugs.

Short Takes:

From YouTube (CNN Channel): Trump to Putin: Don’t meddle in the election

That evil smirk says it all. I bet a buck that both Fuhrer’s have already agreed to have Russia interfere in the 2020 election. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Robert Reich Channel): Robert Reich: Trump’s Secret Tax on Ordinary Americans

Of course the Reich on the left, Robert Reich, is right. Trump, Fuhrer of the evil Reich on the right, the Republican Reich, is lying about his tariffs. Foreigners don’t pay them. You do. Yjrn Re[ublicans use the money to give welfare to billionaires. RESIST!!

From The New Yorker: Millions of viewers of a televised debate Wednesday night found themselves struggling with the notion of a President with no visible personality disorder.

In interviews across the country, viewers said that they were having difficulty imagining a President who does not display flagrant signs of malignant narcissism, impulse-control deficit, or rampant paranoia.

“I kept trying to picture whether any of these people would be capable of insulting another country on Twitter to compensate for his or her own pathological sense of inadequacy,” Harland Dorrinson, who lives in Akron, Ohio, said. “None of them showed me that they have what it takes to do that.”

“A President should be ready, at a moment’s notice, to ridicule another person’s face,” Carol Foyler, of Nashville, said. “I didn’t see one person on that stage who seemed up to that task.”

Dang Andy! I don ‘t know what to say I’m quite sure Liz doesn’t want a Russian hooker. RESIST!!

It’s a tired day here in the CatBox.  It was so muggy, I slept poorly, after staying up to watch the debate.  It’s a good thing WWWendy is coming this evening, before her raucous expedition to the City of Sin. I need a shower so bad, I can  almost taste it.  YUCK!

From YouTube (RWW Channel): RWW News: Mike Heath Says That ‘Homosexuals Are Worse Than Murderers’

Barf Bag Alert!!

The only souls that should matter to these Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christians (the exact opposite of real Christians) are the souls that they are: ass-souls! RESIST!!

From Washington Post: The Supreme Court’s conservatives decided Thursday that federal courts do not have a role to play in deciding whether partisan gerrymandering goes too far.

The 5 to 4 decision was written by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and joined by the court’s other conservatives.

“We conclude that partisan gerrymandering claims present political questions beyond the reach of the federal courts.,” Roberts wrote. “Federal judges have no license to reallocate political power between the two major political parties, with no plausible grant of authority in the Constitution, and no legal standards to limit and direct their decisions.”

Justice Elena Kagan dissented for the court’s liberals. “For the first time ever, this court refuses to remedy a constitutional violation because it thinks the task beyond judicial capabilities,” she wrote.

We can lay this horrendous decision by SCROTUS (Republican anti-Constitutional VD) at the feet of Bought Bitch Mitch for stealing the seat that went to Injustice Whoresuch and forcing the confirmation of criminally pervert Kava-Nazi. RESIST!!

From NBC News: The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the Trump administration cannot include a question about citizenship on the 2020 census form that goes to every U.S. household, giving a win to populous states that said it would discourage legal and illegal immigrants from responding and make the population count less accurate.

The ruling was a setback for the Trump administration’s tough position on immigration. It was also a surprise, because it appeared in April when the case was argued that the court’s five-member conservative majority was prepared to rule that Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross acted within his authority to add the question. They seemed to agree with the Justice Department that Ross’ decision was a rational one, balancing the need for more information against concerns about accuracy. But in the decision Thursday, the court found that while the department of commerce has a right to reinstate the question, it did not provide an adequate justification for doing so.

That should kill it for the 2020 census, as the forms deadline is in three days.  I’m shocked. Chief Injustice Roberts voted No in a 5-4 decision. RESIST!!

That was a disaster, considering his replacement.

It’s a strange but busy day here in the CatBox.  The weather is temperate, but muggy, and grass pollen is still very high.  Store to Door is delivering groceries later, and I have to unpack and put them away.  That WWWendy won’t be here until tomorrow evening makes it strange.  Happy Hump Day!

From YouTube (Washington Post Channel): Hannah Explains: How to check your gender bias while watching the primary debates

While, I think I can make an honest evaluation about which candidate is best for America, must I check my opinion that it’s about time we put a woman in the Oval Office? RESIST!!

From YouTube (Elizabeth Warren Channel): Elizabeth Warren’s plan to protect our democracy

She has a plan for that. As usual, it’s impeccable. RESIST!!

From  CNN: Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, said Tuesday he was spat on by an employee at a Chicago-area restaurant.

“It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems,” the President’s third child told conservative site Breitbart News [Breitfart delinked] by phone Tuesday evening.

The Chicago Police Department was on the scene and assisted Secret Service, per CPD spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

“CPD was on scene and assisting the United States Secret Service with a law enforcement matter. Any and all inquiries regarding a federal protectee must be directed to the Secret Service,” Guglielmi tweeted.

A United States Secret Service spokesperson declined to comment to CNN, and did not respond to inquiries on whether charges had been filed.

Eric Trump cast blame for the incident, which took place at upscale cocktail bar and restaurant Aviary, more broadly on the Democratic Party.

Dang, spit? The attacker got a letter wrong. An H would have been better than the P. 😉 RESIST!!

From NY Times: A divided House voted on Tuesday to send $4.5 billion in humanitarian aid to the border to address horrific conditions facing a crush of migrants, attaching significant rules on how the money could be spent in the first action by Democrats to rein in President Trump’s immigration crackdown.

But the package — which passed by a vote of 230 to 195 nearly along party lines, only after Democratic leaders toughened restrictions on the money to win over liberal skeptics — faces a tough path to enactment. A similar measure with many fewer strings binding Mr. Trump has drawn bipartisan support in the Senate. And the House bill faces a veto threat from White House advisers, who regard the Senate bill as the surest way to speed the needed aid to strapped agencies dealing with the migrant influx.

Hours before the House bill passed, Mr. Trump said that he did not like some of the restrictions that lawmakers were seeking to place on the humanitarian funding, but that he badly needed the resources.

Trump and the Republican Reich do not want funding that stipulates how children have proper food, living conditions and medical care. The Reich has been charging taxpayers and paying cronies $750 per day per child for cement floors, no showers, too little junk food, and no medical care. RESIST!!

I’m running way behind, because of trying to find a way to talk to a human at USPS.  I get my packages delivered to Wendy, because I can’t get them here, and they clearly went to the wrong place, because they say they “could not get access to the building” Saturday, but someone was home all day, and no attempted delivery slip was left at the door.  The USPS website recognizes my tracking number, but the customer service number does not and will allow me to proceed no further.  ARGH!  Oh God, it’s USPS Monday!

Ah… the memories! RESIST!!

From Washington Post: On the campaign trail, Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., largely faced a warm reception as he emerged from relative obscurity to become a promising Democratic presidential contender. But when he addressed a majority-black audience on Sunday afternoon in South Bend, things were markedly different.

This time, Buttigieg wasn’t speaking as a candidate but as the mayor of a city where emotions have run high since a white police officer shot a black man last week and failed to capture the fatal confrontation with his body camera. The town hall meeting, which Buttigieg convened to respond to the rising tensions, descended into chaos as community members shouted their anger and frustration. At times, the mayor struggled to speak amid the interruptions, and he was repeatedly heckled and booed.

“We don’t trust you!” yelled one audience member. “Liar!” yelled another.

This is a disaster for Mayor Pete, a candidate, who ran an excellent campaign, until now. South Bend PD has a long history of Racism. Mayor Pete fired South Bend’s first and only black Police Chief for recording officers making racist remarks. The officer who killed the unarmed black man has had multiple complaints of using excessive force against blacks. I fear Mayor Pete’s failure to clean up the Republican PD in his own back yard first will spell the end for him. RESIST!!

From Alternet: Children in immigrant detention centers are reportedly going without basic supplies like soap and toothbrushes but Vice President Mike Pence insisted on Sunday that it’s the fault of Congress.

During an interview on CNN, host Jake Tapper asked the vice president to “talk about the kids” who have been detained for crossing the border.

“Last week, legal advocates reported there are horrific conditions for children at the border,” Tapper said, pointing to reports that say children have gone without soap, toothbrushes and other items needed for basic hygiene.

“The administration was actually arguing in court this week that the administration should not be required to give soap or toothbrushes or showers to children detained at the border,” Tapper added. “Aren’t toothbrushes and blankets and medicine and basic conditions for kids, aren’t they a part of how the United States of America — the Trump administration — treats children?”

“Well, of course they are, Jake,” Pence replied with a shake of his head. “It’s one of the reasons we ask for more bed space.”

The vice president, who is an evangelical Christian, argued that the Trump administration will not give soap to detained immigrant children because of Congress.

This article is incorrect. Pence is NOT a Christian. He is a Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christian, the exact opposite of a real Christian. No authentic Christian could defend such Republican crimes.  RESIST!!
