It’s a very tired day here in the CatBox.  It’s been a rough week.  I got the results of the fecal test this morning.  It’s negative!  All that for nothing!  So whatever The problem is, it’s worse, and I have to go see a Gastroenterologist.  ARGH!  Tomorrow is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb.  My Broncos are meditating with the Vikings.  I guess it’s time to grab my ankles.  Ya shure!  You betcha!  May the divine Orb bless your team, unless they wear horny hats and drive longboats.  Please expect no more than Personal Updates tomorrow and Monday.  Tomorrow is a busy WWWendy shower day, and Monday I go to see my Oncologist to interpret the follow up Cat Scan.  The growths in my lung have increased in size, so I’m pretty sure a biopsy is the next step.  ARGH!  Weekend Hugs to all.

But wait, there’s more!Then it was revealed that Trump is tweeting attacks against Marie Yovanovitch THIS MORNING while she is testifying. Witness intimidation in real time! You’d think Ivanka would take him golfing so he can’t commit impeachable crimes during the impeachment hearings, but hey.

I personally think the stuff about the State Department refusing to issue a statement of support for Yovanovitch because “Trump might tweet a contradiction of that statement they can never be sure” is an equally big deal, but those who wanted “pizzazz” at a hearing got it as Adam Schiff followed up by reading Trump’s tweet from this morning (witness intimidation, again, while she is on the stand) into the record.

That tweet storm is itself an impeachable act: witness intimidation. RESIST!!

Rep. Devin Nunes has not been shy about promoting the conspiracy theory known as Crowdstrike, which claims that interference in the 2016 presidential election came not from the Russian government and President Vladimir Putin, but from the Ukrainian government. And Nunes continued to promote that discredited theory when questioning Taylor. Nunes, more than once, mentioned “Ukrainian election meddling.” But when Democratic counsel Daniel Goldman asked Kent if there was any credible evidence that Ukraine’s government interfered in the 2016 election, Kent responded, “To my knowledge, there’s no factual basis.”

It’s a hectic day, here in the CatBox.  I had to update several program’s and drivers, prepare and submit my grocery order to Store to Door, prepare our fantasy football report, and advise an old friend, whose husband may be near death about, about the conditions for withdrawing support that I picked in my advance directive.  Yesterday’s eye torture visit was grueling.  The building was so hot that I was sweating for the 5.5 hours I was there.  I had to strain to line up my eyes to their machines from my wheelchair, and that set off my heartburn.  There was no evidence of remission, but one retina has a slightly swollen area, probably an after effect from the initial radiation.  Allison is referring me to a Retinologist.  She says he can give me a shot in the retina to fix it, at least for now.  I returned home at suppertime, but my stomach was so upset that I could eat very little.  This morning, I woke up feeling weak and dizzy.  I had to eat candy, because my blood sugar was 55.  Because I feel completely exhausted, this is my only article today.  Bleary-eyed Hugs to all.

“What kind of a country protects someone’s identity just because they were instrumental in bringing a criminal to justice?” Representative Jim Jordan, of Ohio, asked. “I don’t want to live in a country like that.”

Representative Devin Nunes, of California, concurred. “Anonymity is all well and good, but we should be able to look at these people and know their names,” he said.

At the United States Senate, Lindsey Graham told reporters that “it’s time for people in the witness-protection program to put up or shut up.”

From Daily Kos: When last we checked in on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, operatives there were starting to panic over the “nightmare scenario” of losing the Republican Senate and White House. The results of elections in Virginia and Kentucky, along with big early spending from Democratic groups in key Senate states, have them in palpitations.

“We expected it to be bad. Nobody expected it to be this bad,” Scott Reed, the chief political strategist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said of the onslaught of Democratic ads against Republicans in Arizona, Colorado, Maine, and Iowa. “The right-of-center groups have got to get moving. Elections have consequences, and the Senate is the backstop against all-out craziness.”

This might be the problem for the Chamber—calling itself “right-of-center” when it’s propping up the most far-out extremist Republican party the nation’s been saddled with in decades.

People like the Chamber of Commerce don’t care who they screw or what miseries Republicans inflict on the American people, as long as they get their welfare and evade paying their fair share. They are the reason we need a President like Liz Warren and a Democratic Senate and House.  RESIST!!

From NY Times: “Yes, billionaires will have to pay a little more,” Senator Elizabeth Warren said of the revised tax package she introduced recently, “six cents on each dollar.”

This modest-sounding proposal, though, would have a far-reaching impact on the wealthiest Americans when combined with her other tax plans — shrinking colossal fortunes over time and making it much more difficult to hand down multibillion-dollar legacies.

The tax bite for any individual would not equal the $100 billion that Bill Gates jokingly cited, but over time it would still sting, according to estimates by two economists who advised Ms. Warren. If her wealth tax had been in effect since 1982, for example, Mr. Gates, who had made his first billion dollars by 1987, would have had $13.9 billion in 2018 instead of $97 billion.

Poor Bill! Only $13.9 billion? How could he possibly survive! Even if Liz gets every penny she has requested, it will take five or more decades to claw back half the welfare Republicans have forced the poor and middle classes to pay to billionaires since 1980. We’ve waited far too long to start!  RESIST!!
