MSNBC: Good grief, I hope not every member of Trump’s cabinet or White House staffer is going to put out a book after they were fired or resigned, and then point the finger at all those who went before them to make themselves look good and have their book sales go up. What a waste of trees.
RR: Reich is right; Beshear won over Bevin not so much because he was a Democrat, but because Bevin was the worst of the worst governors. All other positions up for election were filled by Republicans, not by Democrats. However, Beshear can now try to get a grip on Kentucky’s democracy, as any good Democrat would, but only by veto and decree, his Congress is in Republican hands.

Today would have been my Mom’s 103rd Birthday.
(Still love you bunches, Mom. May you rest in peace.)
We always joked that it was easy to remember Mom’s Birthday because the banks and Post Offices were closed, and there usually was a parade.
No doubt there are many other who also have no difficulty remembering this day – but for an entirely different reason …
I was in medical school during the Vietnam War, but my brother served there. Not just today, but any day is a good day to say “THANKS!” to our Vets.
So to all you Vets out there, “Thank You for Your Service!”
You can make me choke up whenever you want, Nameless. It’s always in a good cause.
