It’s a tired, painful, Republicitis day here in the CatBox. The Providence Hospice Nurse came here and suggested an increase in Methadone and a med for anxiety. I chewed her butt pretty thoroughly, and explained that there would have been no anxiety, if she had not screwed up my meds TWICE and that to suggest medicating me because she fell short in the performance of her job is absurd, if not devious. We will be following my treatment plan. Wendy gave me a shower. It felt wonderful, but exacerbated my pain, because its so much work for me. I also have severe Republicitis and am loaded with laxatives. Please pray that I Republicate and have a decrease in pain.

It’s a completely exhausted day here in the CatBox. Yesterday I slept most of the morning and intentionally skipped one Oxycodone. The intention behind increasing the Methadone is to decrease the Oxycodone. WWWendy is coming this morning to give me a shower Please pray that the shower is not too painful and that I feel less groggy.

Beau: “Let’s talk about why Biden turned left….” I think Beau is missing (perhaps because of his youth) the fact that President Biden gre up in the 40’s and 50’s (whereas I gre up in the 50’s and sixties), but we both grew up into an emerging middle class which could not have existied but for social democratic programs. I think that’s the status quo he was running on returning to, even though it wasn’t specifically identified as such.

It’s a painful day here in the CatBox. I spent most of the morning and afternoon sleeping, which means I slept through most of my in-between doses of Oxycodone. This evening I discovered that my Providence Hospice Nurse forgot to refill my Oxycodone prescription. This facility bent over backwards trying to het an emergency prescription here, and they did so missing the deadline by lest than ten minutes. I was worried sick and the stress it engendered exacerbated my pain considerably. Bot the problem was all Providence. This facility was great. Please pray that Providence will get my meds properly organized once and for all!

It’s a groggy day here in the CatBox. Yesterday WWWendy came and brought my new liquid Methadone, but it was 3:00 before my first dose came due. We did some computer work. Then we ate lunch in the dining room. We went outside and wheeled around the building. WWWendy left at 2:30, and I had my first dose at 3:00. Now I know to save a few turds from my kitty box, so I’ll have something to chew on to get the taste if the methadone out of my mouth! YUCK!! Shortly afterwards, I fell asleep for several hours. When I woke up, I Republicated BIG TIME and plugged the throne again. I went to sleep again, and slept until almost midnight. It will take a week or two to see how effectively it manages the pain I guess that I’m not hurting, if I’m not conscious. Have a fine Saturday and pray for easy poop and decreased pain.

PHP is a programming language used to build websites. We have it at all through our hosting partner, BlueHost. In order to update it, we have to go through Bluehost. During his life, TomCat was the only one who had access to our account there. I (JD) am now the only one. I have been to BlueHost and investigated updating our PHP to 8.3 or even to 8.1. I found instructions to do so - in fact, I found two conflicting sets of instructions. I went through one set of the steps and got the message that Our site could not handle 8.3, but that it had successfully updated to 8.1. I then went back here to see what it looked like. But I couldn't get in - either as an administrator or as a reader. It was just gone. I had to reach BlueHost by phone. It was determined that Politics Plus is in fact not compatible with any version of PHP newer than the one we have. BlueHost therefore uninstalled it for me, and the site came back to normal. Of course, like everyone else, I care about security. But I also am aware that TomCat elected to use different providers for several of the services that BlueHost provides, for instance backups. We are backed up daily - but not by BlueHost. However, out PHP is through Bluehost. I feel that if they are not worried about the older version, I am not going to worry about it. I believe that our security here is all or mostly through WordFence, whom I trust.
