It’s a painful day here in the CatBox.  I spent most of the morning and afternoon sleeping, which means I slept through most of my in-between doses of Oxycodone.  This evening I discovered that my Providence Hospice Nurse forgot to refill my Oxycodone prescription.  This facility bent over backwards trying to het an emergency prescription here, and they did so missing the deadline by lest than ten minutes.  I was worried sick and the stress it engendered exacerbated my pain considerably.  Bot the problem was all Providence.  This facility was great.  Please pray that Providence will get my meds properly organized once and for all!

Yes, a little prayer should help you in getting your meds straightened out and in a timely manner. Take good care, and my prayers to you that you have a good day. Take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

TJI #2 – OMG so true! And he said that would happen, in it in fact has happened many times. It is heartbreaking to watch.
TJI #3 – Not that Paul is the only one (disappointingly, I just learned his actual name is “Randal,” so he wasn’t named after idiot, but it surely fits!)
TJI #4 – Good news long overdue.
TJI #5 – Tiedrich still has a way with words.

    • TJI#1: Bless Senator Jeff Merkley.
TJI#2: Despicable. These so-called Evangelical Christians leaders/members have been supporting tRump.

  2. Hoping that this mess gets straightened out soon!
‘Toon: They’ve got Benghazi up the keister!
    BFP: Most lovely!

  3. Sheesh – no wonder WWWedny wanted to get you into a place where you weren’t left to the tender ministrations of Providence exclusively. At least we have a happy ending for now. Prayers of course. I had some battles over my last refills of three prescriptions – so something is going on (my guess is that it’s related to the pandemic – health care providers, many of them, are burned out.) I am fortunate that all of my prescriptions are for long term maintenance, so missing a dose won’t really hurt me (though several in a row might.) But yes, prayers for your meds to go smoothly indeed.

This is as good a summary of Ayn Rand and her influence as you will ever find.

    Blast – Lovely piece.

Happy Mothers’ Day to all Moms, Mums, Mammas, and whatever.

He was a telegrapher, and he didn’t last a full year in uniform on account of pain from the kidney condition which killed him soon after, but he was 38, and he did sign up, and I’m proud of him.

  4. Cartoon: Stinking R’s and their illegal watchdog acts. Sick of them all.
BFTP: Great song. Love Simon and Garfunkel.
Talk about signals getting crossed…you’ve had your share of mishaps with Providence Hospice nurse. I’m glad that your facility was able to get it quickly for you. Now if the Providence Hospice Nurse will do her part and follow thru so you never face that ever again.
Hopefully you had a nice peaceful Sunday. That goes for your evening too.
Extra Prayers being sent your way. Take care Tom.

  5. This wasn’t the first mishap with the Providence hospice nurse. was it, TomCat? They should have fall-back scenarios for this. For example, one for missing your pain-relief medication when you sleep. It’s like the old joke of a patient complaining he was woken in the middle of the night to take a sleeping pill. It seems laughable to wake someone up from sleep for that, but it serves a purpose and for pain relief, it would be the same; to be free of pain/in less pain when you wake up and not have it returned with a vengeance while you wait for the belated oxycodone to kick in.

Perhaps you should consider asking the staff to give you your pills from now on and wake you if you are asleep to take your pain relief so you’ll have continued coverage. It might make you sleep better too.

    BFTP: Such a lovely song.

  6. Thanks and exhausted Monday Hugs to all.  I could use more rest! 19
