It’s a groggy day here in the CatBox.  Yesterday WWWendy came and brought my new liquid Methadone, but it was 3:00 before my first dose came due.  We did some computer work.  Then we ate lunch in the dining room.  We went outside and wheeled around the building.  WWWendy left at 2:30, and I had my first dose at 3:00.  Now I know to save a few turds from my kitty box, so I’ll have something to chew on to get the taste if the methadone out of my mouth!  YUCK!!  Shortly afterwards, I fell asleep for several hours.  When I woke up, I Republicated BIG TIME and plugged the throne again.  I went to sleep again, and slept until almost midnight.  It will take a week or two to see how effectively it manages the pain I guess that I’m not hurting, if I’m not conscious.  Have a fine Saturday and pray for easy poop and decreased pain.

  1. Decreased pain is a common pray list request.  But “easy poops”?  That’s a first for me.

Peanut butter and/or hard candies to suck on are pretty effective in getting rid of bad tastes.

  2. Oh, that’s good news all the way around !!! Reads like you had a great day yesterday! So glad to read that you are feeling better. Glad that your meds are helping in relieving your pain. Hope that you have a wonderful day. Take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom.

    Cartoon: A most worthy organization.

    BFTP: Groovy & great! music!

    3. “The 2020 Presidential Election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was, is spreading the Big Lie, turning their back on the Rule of Law, and poisoning our democratic system.” ~ Congress Woman Liz Cheney, (R – WY)~

    • TJI #3 – I LOATHE her father and hate her right-wing politics – but I admire Liz for choosing our Constitution over fealty to Trump.

    • TJI #1 – That was QUITE a rant by Bret (who is not exactly a wonderful person himself) and Eddie was only the beginning of it

      TJI #2 – Exactly.
TJI #3 – I’ve seen a good deal of “Don’t make her out a hero.” I don’t think we are. I think it’s just a matter of credit where credit is due. In this case it IS due.
TJI #4 – Thoose who are not extinction-level stupid are extinction-level criminal, so does it really matter?
      TJI #5 – Amen.

  3. Sounds like less pain may be on the way.  Wendy is marvelous!
Funny, I was thinking of suggesting peanut butter, myself.
    ‘Toon: More power to them.
    BFP: Love it!

  4. TJI#1: Ted is rancid protoplasm.
    TJI#2: Indeed!
TJI#3: the daughter of the Mother****** speaks truth.  When is someone going to rip that damned pacemaker from out of his chest?
TJI#4: Aye, that is the question, whether t’is nobler to be a dick, or to pretend to be a dick.
    TJI#5: And, it’s not Allstate.

  5. I don’t know whether the picture at the end of this comment will help – but it might. Being allergic to peanuts, I would never have though about peanut butter myself. But it certainly could work. Yes, I do hope andp pray for a balance for you between poop and pain (and you are right about not feeling pain when asleep. That’s why we keep urging more rest.

As we all know, Derek Chauvin has been convicted of murder and manslaughter in Minnesota under state law, and his three sidekicks are due to be tried in August under the same. But it is noews that all four have just been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for violation of George Floyd’s constitutional rights. This isn’t over.

Cartoon – I don’t know how the world managed without it Or rather, I do know – and it was worse than with it.

Blast – With all the kerfuffle that kept it from being played as much as most other songs of the period, it’s not really surprising I’m not familiar with it.

    • Joanne, I would add that Chavin was also indicted for a similar violation of civil rights of a teenager, too.  Thinking the pattern might help with proving their case.

  6. Glad the meds change look promising of both managing your pain and not causing the uncomfortable side effect TC.  Hope that proves to be your new normal.
AI was the only organization doing petitions I encountered in the 1960’s that allowed minors to sign (their form design had a place for the parent to authorize it).

  7. Cartoon: Great organization. Done so much for us.
    BFTP: Great song.
Glad that you finally go your new medication. Pray that it’s already helping you.
Nice hearing that you had a pleasant visit with Wendy yesterday, that you got to go outside some and enjoyed some fresh air.
Hope that you start feeling less pain and that you continue resting as much as you can.
Do take care. Extra Prayers being sent your way.

  8. TC…I really did LOL, reading your thoughts about cat turds!  Have you thought about chewing parsley or cilantro?  How about gargling with bourbon?  (I know…I know.)  It’ll seem normal soon.

Seriously…have you thought about CBD?  THC?

  9. good luck getting all of this sorted out…..

  10. Let’s hope the methadone doesn’t only make you groggy and sleep like in a coma but also diminish your pain when you are awake, TomCat. But pain relief is a thing to focus on, which may mean you’ll have to accept a little grogginess, I’m afraid.

Cartoon: I’ve become a member/donor when I was 18 and still am. Sadly they only had to do more over the years, not less.

BFTP: I was too young at the age of ten when this music came out to appreciate it but I’ve done so in later years. Good music manages to find itself a way into your ears even long after it has disappeared from the hit lists.

  11. Thanks and painful hugs to all!
