From The New Yorker: Attorney General William Barr on Thursday proved unable to give honest answers to a drive-thru window at a Bethesda, Maryland, Arby’s restaurant.

Barr, who drove up to the window just after noon, appeared evasive and halting after the drive-thru attendant asked to take his order.

“I cannot recall what I would like to order at this time,” Barr said, according to the attendant.

When pressed repeatedly to name a sandwich, drink, or side order that he preferred, Barr stonewalled, the attendant said.

“The questions I was asking him couldn’t have been clearer,” the attendant told reporters. “I asked him if he wanted to order a Smokehouse Brisket sandwich. He refused to give me a yes-or-no answer.”

No doubt about it, Andy. That was Barrf! RESIST!!

0501Poll

Here are the results of our “What will Barrf give us” Poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking of the majority of those who actually do think.

And here are your comments:

I have no confidence in a person who covers up for this bogus potus, and we are seeing the actions / results of Barr continuing to cover for his boss.

I went w/ “Some of what we need”

Not that I think Barr has integrity (I don’t) – but I think he realizes at some point the “good stuff” will eventually come out. And he doesn’t want to look too much like the slobbering sycophant he actually his.

A little something to give him a little CYA.

Everything we need. Nixon tried to hide too, a lot, but eventually all but the most highly classified information got out. This will be the same, though Congress will see more than the rest of us. “To protect the innocent” will redact some, but though it will require SCOTUS intervention, I think, we’ll see most of it. Though maybe not by the end of 2019.

Really wishing that there is way more, but with all of tRump’s evil villains, we shall see if the Democrats can do something about it. I hope they do.

We are not going to get the full report because some of it is classified. But we will get some of it. More to the point, Congress will get some of it, and what Congress gets will be more than what we get. And then there will be hearings. And then, information in it that we were not allowed to see will come out through hearings. If Congress is able to run with that, then I can live without seeing it myself.

I’ve lost all trust in any of Drumpf’s appointees, of which Barr is so obviously picked for the job of keeping anything harmful for Drumpf under cover. The way Barr’s inventing new assignments for himself leaves little doubt about his assignments.

I voted “Only what remains after Barr removes all evidence of guilt.” I certainly hope I am wrong. I can see redacting specific references for national security reasons or matters that affect ongoing investigations, but Barr should not be the sole one making that decision. Likewise it would not surprise me if nothing was made public despite what Trump says.

I voted with the majority.  The actually is not so cut and dried, but I think this answer is closest, because Barrf lied.

The new poll is up It’s a real Barrfer!

From Me (The Mueller Letter – It took me an hour to convert it to text.

The Special Counsel’s Office

Washington, D.C. 20330

March 27,2019

The Honorable William P. Barr

Attorney General of the United States

Department of Justice

Washington, D.C.

Re:        Report of the Special Counsel on the Investigation Into Russian Interference in the

2016 Presidential Election and Obstruction of Justice (March 2019)

Dear Attorney General Barr:

I previously sent you a letter dated March 25, 2019, that enclosed the introduction and

executive summary for each volume of the Special Counsel’s report marked with redactions to

remove any information that potentially could be protected by Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure

6(e); that concerned declination decisions; or that related to a charged case. We also had marked

an additional two sentences for review and have now confirmed that these sentences can be

released publicly.

Accordingly, the enclosed documents are in a form that can be released to the public

consistent with legal requirements and Department policies. I am requesting that you provide these

materials to Congress and authorize their public release at this time.

As we stated in our meeting of March 5 and reiterated to the Department early in the

afternoon of March 24, the introductions and executive summaries of our two-volume report

accurately summarize this Office’s work and conclusions. The summary letter the Department

sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not ftilly capture

the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusions. We communicated that

concern to the Department on the morning of March 25.        There is now public conftision about

critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose

for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the

outcome of the investigations. See Department of Justice, Press Release (May 17, 2017).

While we understand that the Department is reviewing the ftill report to determine what is

appropriate for public release—a process that our Office is working with you to complete—?that

process need not delay release of the enclosed materials. Release at this time would alleviate the

misunderstandings that have arisen and would answer congressional and public questions about

the nature and outcome of our investigation. It would also accord with the standard for public

2

release of notifications to Congress cited in yoxir letter. See 28 C.F.R. § 609(c) (“the Attorney

General may determine that public release” of congressional notifications “would be in the public

interest”).

Sincerely yours,

Robert S. Mueller, III

From Vox: Herman Cain isn’t the only controversial person Trump has considered for the Federal Reserve board. This week, Senate Republicans are wrestling with another pick the president has floated for the financial body: conservative commentator Stephen Moore.

Moore has yet to be officially nominated, but an outcry over sexist writings he’s previously published deriding women’s involvement in sports could mean that it might not even happen.

Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, the fourth-ranking Republican in the Senate conference, has been among the most vocal member of the GOP in sounding the alarm about a number of columns Moore wrote for National Review in the early 2000s.

If he were not vile, Trump would not nominate him. RESIST!!

Take the Pledge

I have long warned against below-the-belt infighting between Democratic Candidates and between their supporters.  That helped cost us the Whiter House in 2016, with help from Russian trolls and the useful fools on the left, who parroted them.  That must not happen again.  Indivisible has published a pledge to help prevent it.  Here is the pledge.

04309ledge

The “We Are Indivisible” Pledge

We must defeat Donald Trump. The first step is a primary contest that produces a strong Democratic nominee. The second step is winning the general election. We will not accept anything less. To ensure this outcome, I pledge to:

GRASSROOTS

  1. Make the primary constructive. We’ll make the primary election about our hopes for the future, and a robust debate of values, vision and the contest of ideas. We’ll remain grounded in our shared values, even if we support different candidates.
  2. Rally behind the winner. We’ll support the ultimate Democratic nominee, whoever it is—period. No Monday morning quarterbacking. No third-party threats.
  3. Do the work to beat Trump. We’re the grassroots army that’s going to power the nominee to victory, and we’ll show up to make calls, knock doors, and do whatever it takes.

CANDIDATES

  1. Make the primary constructive. I’ll respect the other candidates and make the primary election about inspiring voters with my vision for the future.
  2. Rally behind the winner. I’ll support the ultimate Democratic nominee, whoever it is—period. No Monday morning quarterbacking. No third-party threats. Immediately after there’s a nominee, I’ll endorse.
  3. Do the work to beat Trump. I will do everything in my power to make the Democratic Nominee the next President of the United States. As soon as there is a nominee, I will put myself at the disposal of the campaign.

Here is the one hundred fifty-ninth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s winner is Republican Nazi John Earnest. He is so honored for committing an act of Republican terrorism. He murdered a Jew and tried to kill more.

Here is an article about the his manifesto.

0429synagogueThe manifesto contained common far-right catchphrases, including descriptions of an “international Jewry” which is responsible for countless age-old blood libels, including the murder of Christ and alleged control over the media and the economy. This is similar to a trope in the antisemitic book The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Earnest wrote that: “Every Jew young and old has contributed to these. For these crimes they deserve nothing but hell. I will send them there.”

He also stated that he hoped to inspire others to commit similar crimes and that he expected to be freed from prison and would “continue the fight.”

The manifesto is full of religious imagery. He repeated throughout that he was carrying out the attack to be a good Christian, saying “My God understands why I did what I did.” He proceeded to quote several verses from the New Testament as “proof.”

He also claimed in the post that the popular YouTuber known as Pewdiepie funded and planned the attack. He also stated that he carried out an arson attack in Escondido, where a fire broke out at Dar-ul-Arqam mosque, also known as the Islamic Center of Escondido, a week after the New Zealand mosque attacks. A note referencing the New Zealand attacks was left at the mosque. Police are currently investigating his involvement in that incident.

Throughout the manifesto, he also referred to other minorities with racist terms, blaming them for a wide variety of personal complaints as well…
