From The New Yorker: Donald J. Trump said on Monday that his “greatest regret” as President was his failure to name his three adult children to the United States Supreme Court.
Appearing on Fox News, Trump said that Ivanka, Eric, and Don, Jr., would be “way better judges” than “those three clowns” whom he did name.
“Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett are the worst people who have ever worked for me,” he said. “And that includes Scaramucci.”
When the Supreme Court was deciding whether New York prosecutors could obtain his tax returns, Trump said, “none of those three boneheads even called to ask me what they should do. No gratitude whatsoever.”
Well, Andy, he hasn’t gotten the mileage he had expected from Whoresuch, Nazi Kavanookie, and Amy Coney Bullshit. But he was stupid to expect gratitude. What gratitude?!!? After all…, they ARE Republicans! On the other hand, wouldn’t it be funny as hell if he had gotten his rancid spawn confirmed to SCROTUS (Republican anti-Constitutional VD), and they had given prosecutors his tax records? Cartoon – I’m still on the fence as to whether un-franked vote by mail envelopes are a poll tax. Technically, they an option, because one can deliver them in person. But there is also a limit as to how many one person can deliver, and as we get older and more disabled as a nation, that number may not be enough.
Andy – It actually amazes me that they have ethics at all, particularly Kavanaugh and Barrett (Gorsuch has always showed some spine – not that I have usually liked what spine he has shown.) I wonder how heavily Roberts had to lean.
NBC – I know I’ve said this before (but it bears repeating). I suspect Republicans are going to rue the day Mitch decided not to vote on him for the court … because then he would not have been eligible to become AG. And it’s quite like he is going to fillet them – not unfairly — just because justice. Incidentally, the showing of emotion Pat mentions – we can thank Cory Booker for setting that up. And I doubt it was a surprise. None of which makes it any less genuine. The more I know about Garland, the more there is to love.
Blast – I just adore this song. It is such a joyous love letter to America. (Of course it is also an earworm. But that’s just fine. I can use some joy and love in my ears.)

TNY: Of course, the three slimy bugs that have been added to the SCOTUS by Trump thought he’d win the election and now have to face the reality that there’s no one to excuse their blatant bias towards him. So they have to go along with the flow if they can’t find some obscure law to hide behind. Trump might have had better luck with his fourth adult child…what’s her name again?
NBC: I hope Garland gets appointed to AG. A man with integrity appointed to that post, what a change that would make.
