MT: They guy talking was spot on when he pointed out that Aussie newscasters don’t take kindly to lying and shut liers down in a flash. They do, especially when they work for national ABC. This fact is why the right-wing government is slowly throttling the ABC by cutting its budget while there is no income from advertising.

C&M: Adorable. A lot different from the hair flying when some of my cats were first introduced (and still does).

Beau: His method of teaching history is one that goes well with a lot of other subjects too. I have a terrible memory for names, dates and anything that had to be learned by rote but as soon as I understood the why, or how, I was/am OK. I could remember the dates, names and places long enough to pass the tests, and then forgot them again but I still remember most of the facts and the most important names and places. The old-fashioned way of learning historic facts, i.e. happenings just by reciting dates and facts over and over again never got anyone interested in history, or anything else, I think.
