Here is the one hundred seventy-fifth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s winner is an unnamed Portland police officer. He is so honored for beating and pepper-spraying a reporter for having the audacity to film his Republican brother officers illegally torturing a black demonstrator like the Republican Nazis they are.

0608PigsAttackA Portland freelance reporter has penned an account of being beaten and pepper-sprayed by police officers while trying to film them making an arrest last night.

Video taken from a helicopter by WW’s news partner KATU-TV around 11:45 pm on June 6 shows a person filming police in Chapman Square, until an officer turns to him, hits him with a baton and twice pepper-sprays him in the face.

Donovan Farley, a longtime contributor to WW’s Arts & Culture section, says he was that person. His account matches what’s shown in the helicopter video.

Farley says in his account that he approached the scene because he heard a protester say he could not breathe as police officers were forcefully arresting him on the ground. Farley alleges the methods police used to make the arrest resembled those that Minneapolis police applied that killed George Floyd.

“As the man sputtered and spit and gasped, I, for reasons that I’m sure are clear, shouted to get the fuck off his neck,” Farley recalls. “This is the moment a fourth officer approached, reaching for his baton.”… [emphasis added]

Although Portland is one of the nation’s most liberal cities, our history of police misconduct, especially against Blacks leaves much to be desired.  Portland, like many cities, needs a citizen review board with teeth.

Today’s winner is Republican PA State Representative Russ Diamond (R-Annville). He is so honored for intentionally trying to murder Democratic state legislators by infecting them with Trump* virus.

Twitter and Facebook last night to share some shocking news. He says a
Republican colleague tested positive for COVID-19 — and no one told the
Democrats who worked on the same committee. Via MetroWeekly:

Sims, a member of the State Government Committee,
specifically called for the resignation of, and the possible prosecution of, the
member who allegedly tested positive, whom he identified as Rep. Russ Diamond
(R-Annville), as well as Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Marshall Township) and other
Republican leaders, for allegedly conspiring to conceal the fact that GOP
lawmakers had tested positive for COVID-19.

I call this attempted murder, because I can prove intent.  Were Diamond just displaying a normal stupidity level for Republicans, he would not have warned his Republican colleagues that he was infected.  Even worse, his colleagues joined the plot to kill Democrats.  Otherwise, they would have warned the Democrats that Diamond was a walking death trap.  It’s bad enough that Republicans caused the spread of Trump* virus.  Now they’re weaponizing it to commit biological warfare.

Here is the one hundred seventy-fourth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s winners are four unnamed Minneapolis police officers. They are so honored for murdering yet another unarmed black man, who begged for mercy as one killed him and the rest watched.

0527george-floydANOTHER DAY in the United States, another unarmed black man dead following unwarranted, insupportable, outrageous police violence. When will it end?

In Minneapolis on Monday evening, a white officer bore down with his knee on the neck of a handcuffed black man who lay sprawled on the street, rasping, “I cannot breathe” and “Don’t kill me.” The man died a short time after.

The suspect, George Floyd, was in his 40s. He was arrested when officers responded to what they called a suspected “forgery in progress.” They said the man appeared to be intoxicated and that he resisted arrest, though no evidence has been presented for either assertion.

There is plain evidence of what came next, however, from a video recorded by someone in a group of witnesses who stood a few feet away. In it, the white officer appears impassive, almost bored, as the suspect gasps for breath. He is unmoved as witnesses curse and plead with him to get off the suspect’s neck, as they warn that the man’s nose is bleeding, that he can’t breathe, that he isn’t resisting. Nor does the officer relent when an ambulance medic arrives and checks the man’s neck for a pulse…  [emphasis added]

Today’s winner is Republican Senator Richard Burr [R-NC]. He is so honored for cashing out of the stock market and warning rich Republicans to do likewise, explaining to them just how dangerous Trump* virus really is, while lying to the American people, telling us that we were completely safe.

0320BurrOn Feb. 27, the United States had just 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Donald Trump was telling Americans the coronavirus was “going to disappear” one day, “like a miracle.” But Republican Sen. Richard Burr, in a private meeting with members of an exclusive group, was issuing dire warnings about the emerging pandemic.

“There’s one thing that I can tell you about this: It is much more aggressive in its transmission than anything that we have seen in recent history,” Burr, chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told members of Tar Heel Circle in a secret recording obtained by NPR reporter Tim Mak. “It is probably more akin to the 1918 pandemic,” Burr added.

The luncheon, held at the Capitol Hill Club, included a nonpartisan group of dozens of Burr’s constituents who pay between $500 and $10,000 to be part of the elite Tar Heel group, which promises them access to powerful leaders in Congress, the executive branch, and the private sector. NPR reports that the companies represented at the luncheon and their political committees “donated more than $100,000 to Burr’s election campaign in 2015 and 2016.”…

…Burr’s stark assessment of major disruptions also predated school closures in his state by 16 days. “There will be, I’m sure, times that communities, probably some in North Carolina, have a transmission rate where they say, let’s close schools for two weeks, everybody stay home,” he said. Burr also mentioned the potential need to mobilize the U.S. military in order to resource the effort to battle the coronavirus… [emphasis added]

Here are the excerpts from that meeting that have been released.  Not only did he tell the truth to this select group, but also, he used that insider information to bail out of the stock market and escape the effects of the Republican Recession of 2020, while thousands of Americans lost their IRAs and 401(k)s, because Republicans hid the truth from them.

I sure the rich Republicans at that meeting bailed out too.  Burr was not the only Senator to save their own investments, while screwing their constituents.  There were two more Republicans and, unfortunately, one good for nothing, mother stinking piece of DINO shit.

In my opinion, Di-Fi is the most culpable of the four. Greedy, illegal behavior is SOP for members of the Republican Reich, but when Democrats start acting like Republicans, as Feinstein did (and so often does), how are voters to tell the difference? All four should resign. Those who don’t (all of them), should be brought up on ethics charges. Unfortunately, Senate ethics will matter only if Democrats win the chamber.

In the meantime, all four deserve a parade.  If DINO Feinstein insists on acting like a Republican, let her be paraded liked a Republican.

Here is the one hundred seventy-second article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s winner is Republican State District Judge [LA] and pseudo-Christian racist, Jessie LeBlanc. She is so honored for her racist slurs, perversion of justice and Republican family values.

0302LeBlancOn Thursday, State District Judge Jessie LeBlanc of Louisiana signed and sent letters of resignation. This comes after calls from the community for her resignation due to a slew of scandals rocked the Louisiana judge, and led to calls from numerous attorneys as well as Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards for her to step down.

The first scandal came out in January that Judge LeBlanc had had an affair with Assumption Parish Chief Deputy Bruce Prejean that is now over. This led to an announcement that a review of around 600 cases the judge and chief deputy were connected to would begin. At the time, Leblanc denied everything, but subsequently admitted to the affair. Prejean was demoted.

Then, Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon released text messages, reported on by WBRZ, between Judge LeBlanc and Chief Deputy Prejean, in December of 2018 when their relationship apparently soured. According to reports, while the two remained friends after their affair ended in 2016, LeBlanc seems to have received an “anonymous package” in December of 2018 with information that ended her and Prejean’s friendship.

In the angry text messages, LeBlanc goes on racist rants, dropping N-bombs while calling Assumption Deputy Erick Taylor “thug N***** Erick.” She also accuses Prejean of cheating on her with the law clerk—who is African American—of another judge, saying “At least I was never unfaithful to you with anyone — much less a N*****.” As a result of these new revelations, District Attorney Ricky Babin told WBRZ that his office would be informing “every single defendant,” who had appeared before LeBlanc since 2012…  [emphasis added]

Today’s winner is Republican State Representative [WA] and pseudo-Christian terrorist, Matthew Shea. He is so honored for his Republican hatred, terrorism, and calls for the murder of non-Christians.

1221SheaThe Republican Washington state representative Matthew Shea “participated in an act of domestic terrorism against the United States” and represents a threat of political violence, according to a report produced for the Washington state legislature.

Shea is a far-right figure who holds extremist Christian, nationalist and Islamophobic beliefs. The report said it had made the judgment over terrorism by his actions before and during an armed takeover and standoff at the Malheur national wildlife refuge in 2016 in Oregon.

The report further contends that in a document entitled the Biblical Basis for War, Shea “advocated the replacement of US democracy with a theocracy and the killing of all males who do not agree”….  [emphasis added]

Today’s winner is Trump sycophant white supremacist pastor, Rick Wiles. He is so honored for the typically Republican anti-Semitism and conspiracy theories he employs against impeaching his Fuhrer. This is his second parade. He earned the first on 6/26/2018 for accusing Democrats of plotting to murder Republicans.

1212Rick-WilesRick Wiles, the far-right Christian fundamentalist pastor and radio host who founded TruNews, has a long history of bigotry — and that includes a lot of anti-Semitism to go with his anti-Islam, anti-gay and anti-feminist views. Regardless, Wiles has enjoyed media credentials in the Trump White House, but two Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives want those credentials revoked.

Wiles’ anti-Semitism was much in evidence in a video that was posted on TruNews’ YouTube channel on November 22. In the video, Wiles claimed that Jews are behind efforts to impeach President Donald Trump: Wiles described Trump as the victim of a “Jew coup” and claimed that Jews will “kill millions of Christians” after they succeed in removing the president from office.

YouTube banned TruNews’ channel from its video-sharing platform following Wiles’ anti-Semitic rant. And Rep. Ted Deutch of Florida and Rep. Elaine Luria of Virginia, in a letter sent to Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney on Monday, asserted that Wiles should be banned from all White House media events… [emphasis added]
