It’s a tired painful day here in the CatBox. This morning a Providence bathing aide came to clean me up. She did a very good job, was gentle and was compassionate, but despite her best efforts, moving me around exacerbated my pain severely. It did not let up for the rest of the day. Two days at the new level are enough to demonstrate that I need more and shall ask for it immediately. Please pray that they increase my Methadone level quickly.

Personal Update – 5/21/2021

It’s a groggy painful day here in the CatBox. I spent most of the morning fighting pain. With my 3 PM dose Hospice increased my Methadone dose from 15 mg to 18 mg every 8 hours. I can tell the difference, but I think I’ll need more. I did Republicate twice and slept for the rest of the day. Please pray that this increase will ease my pain.

It’s another crappy, painful day here in the CatBox. Yesterday I Republicated half the Republican House Caucus before my shower and Republicated two more times before the say was out, exacerbating my back pain to an extreme degree. I talked to the Hospice and I expect another Methadone increase. I keep you posted when they let me know. Please pray for stability in Republication, medication and pain.

It’s a painful crappy day here in the CatBox. I finally Republicated and strained so hard that my back is killing me, A day and a half after the increase in my Methadone dose it’s apparent the increase is not enough, and I shall request more when my Providence Nurse is here Monday. Please pray for easier Republication and more effective medication.

It’s a painful groggy day here in the CatBox. The way I feel, I may Republicating before I finish writing this. Yesterday WWWendy’s shower exacerbated my back pain severely. They finally increased my methadone dose from 12 to 15 mg, but I’ve had only two doses at that level, not enough make a difference so far. Please pray that both my Republication and pain stabilize at acceptable levels.

It was today not, yesterday, so I was in severe pain all day WWWendy is coming to give me a shower this morning. I dis mot Republicate again. It’s a busy and painful weekend here in the CatBox. Everyone loved the feast, especially Oh and Shit. The other residents thoroughly enjoyed them. On the downside, spending several hours in my chair was far more than my back could handle. We took pictures, and I shall share them with you after they have been approved by Ivy Court. It’s a tired, painful day here in the CatBox. Yesterday, WWWendy and I did some computer work and the excessive heat (82° F) kept me from getting decent rest. Today we are having our special BBQ ribs feast for the residents, the staff, ‘Oh’, and ‘Shit’. Sunday they are increasing my Methadone another 10%. I insisted on waiting until after the feast, so I don’t sleep through it. Please pray that both the feast and the methadone increase is successful.

PHP is a programming language used to build websites. We have it at all through our hosting partner, BlueHost. In order to update it, we have to go through Bluehost. During his life, TomCat was the only one who had access to our account there. I (JD) am now the only one. I have been to BlueHost and investigated updating our PHP to 8.3 or even to 8.1. I found instructions to do so - in fact, I found two conflicting sets of instructions. I went through one set of the steps and got the message that Our site could not handle 8.3, but that it had successfully updated to 8.1. I then went back here to see what it looked like. But I couldn't get in - either as an administrator or as a reader. It was just gone. I had to reach BlueHost by phone. It was determined that Politics Plus is in fact not compatible with any version of PHP newer than the one we have. BlueHost therefore uninstalled it for me, and the site came back to normal. Of course, like everyone else, I care about security. But I also am aware that TomCat elected to use different providers for several of the services that BlueHost provides, for instance backups. We are backed up daily - but not by BlueHost. However, out PHP is through Bluehost. I feel that if they are not worried about the older version, I am not going to worry about it. I believe that our security here is all or mostly through WordFence, whom I trust.
