It’s a hectic day here in the CatBox.  Tomorrow is moving day, so this is the last article I’ll write until after I’m there.  Today, I’ll get as much rest as I can, because on Saturday, I’ll be completely exhausted and am likely to stay that way through the weekend  My day tomorrow will start at 8:00 AM and last late into the night.  After that, I will be back as soon as I can.  Until I am, you guys are in charge. TGIF!  Prayers UP!

  1. This is exciting!  And I’m really happy for you!

Hope everything goes smoothly with no major hiccups.  (Although it always seems inevitable not to have one or two.)

  2. I’m excited for you, and pray that all goes well and smoothly for you, with your move. Get your rest, and get some naps in today, too. Yep, prayers up for you, not just today, but always.
btw.. get your rest after you move in too! The Best to you. Take good, good care, Tom !!
*Just 3 TJI’s today, gotta run today!

    *This just in: FYI:
“The House will vote on DC Statehood the week of April 19th, 2021. ~ Travis Akers ~
    2. “Katalin Karikó, (Hungarian), helped shield the world from the coronavirus. A female scientist in a male-dominated field, an immigrant, who never earned more than $60K, who has been researching mRNA since 1985 — is the scientist whose research is key to vaccines. “The bench is there, the science is good,”. ~ Naveed Jamali ~
    3. “On this day in 1865, Robert E. Lee surrenders the Army of Northern Virginia to Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox effectively ending the American Civil War.” ~ Military History Now ~

    • TJI #2 – I frequently think how much brain-power was lost for centuries by not allowing women to expand their horizons and pursue their own goals.  How many more advancements in all fields would we have now?  How many fewer wars (at least that’s likely)? Etc.

      ~sigh~

    • TJI #1 – and it will pass in the House on a partisan vote — and be filibustered in the Senate. I hope Schumer is on his toes and manages to find a moment when he can call for cloture … but I fear that will only work once, and the once already happened.
TJI #2 – What Nameless said – and not just women, but black and brown people and people who “talk funny.”
TJI #3 – Actually, I am grateful that I can look at a picture like that, or so many others painted over the last 250 years or so, and not have it look normal. I’ve worked hard to get woke because it’s the right way to be. But I wasn’t always that woke. Privilege is insidious.

  3. Rest and goodest luck!
    BFP: Excellent!

  4. TJI#1: Hoping!  Does it take 60 votes to pass?  I hope not.
TJI’s#2 and 3: Thumbs way up!  Then came the 1st Pres. JohnsonπŸ’©.

  5. Thoughts and prayers aimed your way for plenty of rest today and a smooth tomorrow.

Cartoon – Look at all those white faces!

Blast – ALL people everywhere. ALL people.

    • P. S. – I know a lot of people won’t care, but I truly feel sorry for Queen Elizabeth.  She and Philip were married for 73 years, and I’m sure they had disagreements, but they did manage to stay supportive of each other, and now that support is gone.  It’s not impossible that his loss will lead to her death, and I see no way for that to be good for anyone but her.  Not all her actions and decisions were perfect (as whose are?), but it appeared that, right or wrong, she never lost the concept that she was called to the service of her people.  And I can’t say that for anyone in the direct line of succession.

  6. BFTP: Great song by the Rascals.
Extra prayers being sent your way, that everything goes smoothly tomorrow with your move. With all that Wendy has done setting things up, I feel it will. Do tell Wendy “Hello and Thanks” for me. tomorrow.
I hope that you were able to rest today, so you’ll be up and ready for tomorrow’s move. Plus do make sure you eat and drink, so you don’t get run down.
Will be looking forward to hearing from you after you’re all settled in to your new place, Tom.
    Take care.

  7. You’ve got the right attitude for the move, TomCat. Rest, rest, rest and let other people take care of it as much as possible.

Cartoon: Was there really ever a truce?

BFTP: People should take the text literally.

  8. Until further notice, the cat is offline.  God bless you all! 23

  9. Hope your move is going and went well….sounds like a good set-up….
