Such a sweet cat!
Your menu sounds delicious!
Felix Cinco de Mayo, todas!
LOL! I see what Pat did there!
Here in the US it has become a cultural celebration for Mexican-Americans, like Saint Patrick’s Day for Irish-Americans and Columbus Day for Italian Americans. None of those are celebrated in the country of origin the way they are here. In Mexico – there might be a military parade today – and there might also be a lot of people wondering why.
It’s does bring up the question of when does appreciation of someone else’s culture becoe appropriation of it.
And it’s hubby’s and my anniversary. 36 years.
Joanne: Well, Congratulations!! on your Wedding Anniversary!! you two lovebirds!
I miss not working in the school(s), as every year got better and better in celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
It’s a wonderful day to enjoy, to participate, or watch the dances, listen to the music, and eat the delicious homemade dishes. The students do a fantastic job in celebrating this great day!
Wow…36 years. Congratulations Joanne
Hope you both enjoy your special day.
Happy Anniversary!
Ironically, Cinco de Meow (oops, Mayo) is a much bigger deal in the U.S. than in Mexico. It was originally to celebrate a surprise Mexican victory against a stronger invading French army.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to you too TC. Enjoy.
Tasty meal you’re planning….just pray your stomach survives.
Enjoy.
Just pray that I survive it! Undoubtedly, there will be a ginormous green cloud drifting north!!!
Actually, dear Squatch, you’re safe from that meal, but I have far more devious plans in store for you.
Joanne, congratulations!
Feliz Cincos, all!
We brought in Mexican dinner two nights ago, just sayin’.
An Oldie But A Goodie …
(I know, I know … but it’s only once a year you have to tolerate it. Let an Old Man enjoy his feeble moments.)
I hope everyone enjoyed their private Cinco de Mayo celebrations.
Lona:
Thanks and Hump Day Hugs to all!
