It’s a tired day, here in the CatBox, as yesterday completely wore me out. I’ve avoided tatoos all my life, but now I have five. They are small dots on my abdomen to serve as targeting guides. I almost asked them to roll me over and put two eyes above my butt hole. That would have given me a Trump* tattoo that acts just like the Fuhrer does!

From Daily Kos: There is an op-ed in the Kansas City Star written by Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren (www.kansascity.com/…) promising to use the power of the government to punish the blatant corruption that is obvious everywhere:
The Biden administration will appoint an inspector general to review every coronavirus relief transaction currently evading serious scrutiny. Wasteful, corrupt deals and giveaways will be rooted out and undone. Suspicious transactions will be referred to the Justice Department for investigation and prosecution. Every Trump administration official and business executive contemplating such deals should hear us loud and clear. Trump may wink and nod at this corruption. We will not.
Imagine what this means for Jared Kushner? Or everyone involved in the open piracy of stealing medical supplies from a state that paid for them (and arranged transportation)? Or all the companies selling our national stockpile for high profits?
When this unfortunate virus has stabilized, we need a national truth and reconciliation committee. And with real jail time!!
Wow! If they really follow through this time, unlike far too many past instances, we’ll need to build more prisons to hold those Republican corporate criminals. RESIST!!

I don’t think you need to worry about those tattoos showing. (Nor do you need a tramp stamp.)
Another way in which Republican failure to govern has set us up for failure with COVID-19. Cartoon – If it really were flat, cats would have knocked everything off of it by now.
Map – That looks more believable. Was the one yesterday just deaths?
DKos – Yes. This is good news. I admit we have earned the title “incarceration nation,” but that is not from being too draconian in general, but from being too draconian specifically to non-white-people. We can well afford to get tougher – a lot tougher – on white corruption. And, yes, I don’t doubt that some of the corrupt are non-white, but they are far from a majority. (And we won’t need new prisons, just to release innocent people and non-violent drug offenders.)
“Mourning in America.” Yes. This is brilliant indeed. So that’s how he saw it during Morning Joe. Joe says he believes in late-life conversions as a Baptist – as a Catholic, so do I – but I also believe when they happen, they are obvious – so obvious that people’s response is “Who are you, and what have you done with so-and-so?” See “A Christmas Carol.” (I also believe it is’t going to happen with Orange Judas, because to have a change of heart, one needs to have a heart.)
Past – I do remember Donovan, but not his whole body of work. This one’s new to me.

DK: Saw that previously, hope it happens. Then there will be a legitimate use for the damned private prisons, once their inmates are freed. A joint Op-Ed., that MIGHT indicate that Liz will be the VP candidate. The Rethuglicans will scream about the Dems seeking to politicize the situation, seek revenge, Trump’s favorite flavor, after Cherry Red!

I’ve been AWOL pass few days because I’m FINALLY getting around to prepare all the paperwork for my tax meeting. YIPPEE!
I head up to Illinois tomorrow to meet w/ my Mom’s CPA. The one I had used down here last charged me $750 THREE YEARS AGO for an easy, straightforward tax preparation.
Our office used him & he is really good. But my taxes are Easy-Peasy. Last year I switched, and my Mom’s guy charged me $250. So I figure I’m saving somewhere between $500 & $1k by heading up to Illinois. PLUS I get to stay & visit w/ old friends & my Aunt. An Easy-Peasy No-Brainer.
Bottom Line – NO “Friday Fun”.

DK: An op-ed written by Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren? Mitch thinks that’s because Liz might be Joe’s VP, but perhaps they’re thinking of putting Liz up for that inspector general appointment they mention. If she takes that job on hand Jarred is sure to end up in jail.
MSNBC: Boy, that Conservative group video was well hidden in more than 18 minutes of lamenting and repeating the same things in different wording over and over again by Joe and Mika. Of course, they are right in what they say but they’re so boring and hugging the camera all of the time. That video which enraged Trump so much should have gotten a far better analysis than it got now. Stating the obvious repeatedly and across shows is not the answer to Faux News Trump propaganda.
