It’s that time of week again, and here are three excellent video clips from Sam’s show last night.  Enjoy!

Democrats on Fox

While I understand the desire by some candidates to try to reach the Sheeple, who watch the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise. However, anything that lends credibility to Faux Noise is a slap in the face of honest journalism. Kudos to Liz and Kamala for superior integrity.

Journalism’s Corporate Sponsors

Anytime Republican billionaires and corporate criminals invade a market, they transform it into a sewer.

Candidate Sweep

I love the humor. However, there are a bunch with no chance, who could challenge Republican incumbents in the Senate. That would better serve the American people.

It’s great to feel well enough to enjoy Sam. πŸ™‚

  1. Act 1 – Mayor Pete made a great impression … which the permanent Fox staff immediately proceeded to dismantle. Democrats are not afraid of Fox News viewers, but they are reasonable to be extremely wary of Fow News commentators. I am not going to consider holding a town hall on Fox to be a deal breaker either way. Of course, it certainly could end up that way.

Act 2 – Raw Story/AlterNet is now locking out readers using ad blockers unless they pay a subscription fee. Some other outlets are pretty desperate in seeking patrons too. I really can’t afford even one subscription at this point, let alone all of them.

Act 3 – Some who have no chance are already in the Senate (and not up for reelection, so therefore safe.) Some others who have no chance will realize it in time to run for the Senate. I am not yet panicked about the large number of candidates. That, of course, may change.

  2. W/view later on, for this evening.

    Thanks, Tom.

  3. I’m actually perfectly comfortable if a candidate wants to appear on Fox news (sic).  Especially one as articulate as Mayor Pete.  OF course we knew Fox & Friends would do their usual lying denigration, but his performance impressed Fox Host Brit Hume (whom I loathe because of his usual pedantic condescension) enough to say this on air about him:

“I think Pete Buttigieg is the most impressive, by far, candidate in terms of raw political talent in the Democratic field, and he may be the most impressive candidate I’ve seen since the emergence of Barack Obama. He is as fluid as he can be and he seems to have something to say about every issue. He seems comfortable on the big stage, articulate, even humorous.”

Plus there’s the bonus that his appearance on Fox really irritated thin-skinned Twitler who whined about it so much that Hume actually chided him:

    • You’re quite right.  But I doubt whether anyone is worried about the effect an appearance on Fox will have on Brit Hume.  In a way, no one’s even worried about the effect an appearance will have on all of Fox’s paid professional spin doctors.  What they are worried about, if at all, is the effect the spin doctors will have on the viewers, and on how many of them it will or won’t have an effect.  And, of course, that’s the wild card.  I agree it’s up to the individual candidate whether or not to go there.

  4. Sam 🐝: Sam’s quite right when she points out that candidates aren’t really doing themselves a favour by appearing on these Faux News ‘Town Hall’ shows. No on-the-fence voter would watch it, so all they do is give the Faux News manipulators some new material to work with. Kudos to Liz and Kamala for not wasting any time on it.

Sam 🐝🐝: The newspapers that stay afloat are those that have invested heavily in trustworthy background and investigative stories. News is too ethereal, too speculative and short-lived, it’s gone before the headlines are even printed. The full account, however, takes time and apparently is worth spending time on by readers.

Sam 🐝🐝🐝: Sam’s right to make fun of the ever-growing number of candidates. I know, each of them would be a better choice than Drumpf or any other Republican, but how come all 24 (25 by now?) think they’re the one who’s going to save America from Trumpism? How about some unity on a Democratic agenda, folks? So many candidates with so many messages is only going to confuse voters and waters down real issues.

  5. I too will watch it tomorrow morning.

  6. Thanks and hurry hugs to all. 23

  7. Video #2 is why we need to support independent media such as Alternet, Daily Kos, etc.
