Yesterday was supposed to be cooler, but about an hour before my month’s groceries arrived, the sun hit the breezeway outside my windows.  Even though the high outside was 70°, the temperature in the breezeway jumped to 108°, and inside, to 96°.  That made unpacking and putting away all those groceries a miserable task.  So I’m, pretty wrung out today.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow I have to go to physical therapy on my shoulder, so my articles may be few and late.

"Too Informed to Vote Republican" says it all!

From YouTube: 2012: Who Should You Vote For?

Few people on the left are more critical of Barack Obama than Cenk Uygur. Nevertheless, even he knows that as attractive as Rocky Anderson is, a vote for him is an investment in Willard Romney.

From New Your Magazine: Neil Munro, the Daily Caller reporter who interrupted Obama’s DREAM Act Lite speech yesterday by yelling, "Why do you favor foreigners over American workers?" is himself a so-called foreigner working a job, here in America. This isn’t breaking news: He identifies as Irish-born on his Twitter bio, and he is currently living in D.C. on a green card. It is, however, somewhat notable and ironic when you consider the agenda behind what he maintains was "a conventional, obvious question."

I guess that the Republican Party doesn’t consider Munro a foreigner, because he has the right skin color.

  1. Doesn't Portland have some city ordinance mandating what the minimum and maximum temperatures in rental units can be?  I know when I went to school in Chicago they did (thank God).

An interesting story in the New York Times about the Romney's horse that will be in the Dressage event at the Olympics – and how they claimed a $77,000 DEDUCTION for its care on their 2010 Income Tax Returns:

As millions tune in to the Olympics in prime time this summer, just before Mr. Romney will be reintroducing himself to the nation at the Republican convention, viewers are likely to see “up close and personal” segments on NBC about the Romneys and dressage, a sport of six-figure horses and $1,000 saddles. The Romneys declared a loss of $77,000 on their 2010 tax returns for the share in the care and feeding of Rafalca, which Mrs. Romney owns….

    Or …

  2. Republicans don't get how badly they are perceived as human beings by everyone else in the country, but Rachel Maddow has succinctly and perfectly characterized them.

  3. MoveOn — I have always known that there was a dichotomy in the Republican/Teabagger call for 'small government' and their obsession with controlling women as evidenced by their war on women.

"Too Informed to Vote Republican" says it all! —- AMEN!!!!!

2012: Who Should You Vote For? — I have said it many times, voting for a third party is great if it meets your needs.  BUT, that 3rd party needs to be built to a point of viability and that takes time.  Right now, Rocky Anderson is not a viable presidential candidate.  He will have the same problems that Mr Obama does now with the Congress.  Vote for Mr Obama to keep Rmoney out of the White House, and get started building that third option that everyone can embrace.  A vote for Rocky Anderson now is a vote for Rmoney.

    Carton — What a shmuck!

    • As have I.

No third party has a chance unless the majority of the electorate is favorably educated and energized .  The time to concentrate on that starts the day after an election, not the year of the election.

I would prefer a majority requirement mandating runoff elections between the top two candidates if none has a majority.

      Amen!

  4. Munro should have his green card yanked!
