It’s a hectic day here in the CatBox. I have the AC working, but I have to babysit it. I lost the washer in my portable O₂ unit, and Providence Medical Equipment will deliver one this moaning. I’ll be scarce for the next few days. Please expect no more than a daily Personal Update before Monday. Tomorrow I have to take the TriMet Lift Bus to to the hospital for my second infusion in 90°+ weather. Because of WWWendy’s work schedule, I had to schedule the appointment for 3:20 PM. I’ll nap during the morning. WWWendy will pick me up at 5:30. When we get home at around 6:00 PM, we still have a whole normal WWWendy day to do. I’ll be exhausted and will get to bed way late. I may be too worn out to do more Thursday. Friday Deborah, the Providence Home Health doctor is coming for a routine visit. Saturday is a morning WWWendy day. Sunday I’m meeting with several prison volunteer coworkers and former prisoners on Zoom. If I can do more, I will, but I’ll be busier than a long-tail TomCat in a rocking chair showroom. Tuesday is flush your Republicans day. Flush fast. They’re sneaky as hell. Oh God, it’s Tuesday!

From NY Times: Just before hundreds of far-right activists recently tried to storm the German Parliament, one of their leaders revved up the crowd by conjuring President Trump.

“Trump is in Berlin!” the woman shouted from a small stage, as if to dedicate the imminent charge to him.

She was so convincing that several groups of far-right activists later showed up at the American Embassy and demanded an audience with Mr. Trump. “We know he’s in there!” they insisted.

Mr. Trump was neither in the embassy nor in Germany that day — and yet there he was. His face was emblazoned on banners, T-shirts and even on Germany’s pre-1918 imperial flag, popular with neo-Nazis in the crowd of 50,000 who had come to protest Germany’s pandemic restrictions. His name was invoked by many with messianic zeal.

It was only the latest evidence that Mr. Trump is emerging as a kind of cult figure in Germany’s increasingly varied far-right scene.

As much as the Republican Reich tries to claim that Trump* is not a Nazi, even foreign Nazis know who their Fuhrer is! RESIST!!

It’s a relatively lazy holiday here in the CatBox. My esophageal tumor is making eating more painful and difficult. I’ll talk to Evelyn about that, when I go in Wednesday. My AC is acting up intermittently. When I woke up, this morning, it was pumping out heat and the inside temp was 89°. It wouldn’t power down, so I flipped the circuit breaker. Then I coaxed it into working again, for now. I’m babying it until Maintenance Dept. gets here. Of course this has to happen on a 3 day weekend. If you’re driving, please stay safe. Thank God it’s Monday.

Bernie Sanders is raising the alarm and mobilizing his army of supporters to be aware of just how dangerous a game the president is now playing.

In an interview with Politico and an email sent to his massive email list Friday, Sanders suggested that too many news organizations, social media companies, and lawmakers—in addition to the broader public—remain unaware of the manner in which Trump is laying the groundwork for a potentially devastating series of events.

“Trump is now using his lies and misinformation to sow confusion and chaos in the election process and undermine American democracy,” stated in the email, sent to millions of his supporters on Friday. “In other words, he does not intend to accept the results of the election if he loses and leave office voluntarily. I fully agree with Bernie. The people of the US need to be fully informed about Trump’s* likely intent to overthrow the government of the US and how he is setting up an attempt to do so. RESIST!!

The military and I have often been on opposite sides over the years. They have served in wars against which I have protested, and devious politicians have used them as weapons against protests that included me. So one might think I have a low opinion of service people, but that is not true. I consider them honorable people who have been used as cannon fodder for dishonest political ends in most of the conflicts in my lifetime. I have always believed that protesters should hate the wars but love the warriors. Except for one very tiny portion of heroes KIA, I would never consider them “Losers” and “Suckers”!

When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

Belleau Wood is a consequential battle in American history, and the ground on which it was fought is venerated by the Marine Corps. America and its allies stopped the German advance toward Paris there in the spring of 1918. But Trump, on that same trip, asked aides, “Who were the good guys in this war?” He also said that he didn’t understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the Allies…[emphasis added]

Because of Trump’s historical illiteracy, he may have been thinking of opposing the WWII allies. His Fifth Reich today borrows so much from Hitler’s Third Reich, that I bet he wishes the US had joined the Axis.

There are losers and suckers in military cemeteries. They are the ones who voted for Trump in 2016 before dying. But troops that vote for Trump* in 2020, after he said this and continued to support Putin [R-RU] after Putin paid bounties for dead US soldiers, are the biggest losers and suckers in US military history.

Speaking as a dying man, if Trump steals the 2020 election, I will consider death a blessing.

It’s another sweltering day here in the CatBox with a high of 95°. Last night I executed my Last Will and Testament. WWWendy was thrilled to learn that she gets both the liver and the plunger. I overslept and had a hearty breakfast of gooped potatoes, ground beef, cheese and gravy, gooped watermelon, mixed berry yogurt and apple juice, so I’m running later. Diana will be here in the next 45 minutes to check my butt fungus. Wendy has to work, so she can’t be here to make a video of the event. Update: I have a mildly infested but much more contented ass! Happy Hump Day!

It’s a tired busy day here in the CatBox. Yesterday Diana determined that sores in my butt crack and under my left butt cheek are a fungus infection. I have decided to forego posting pics. I have the Lotrimin I need to treat it. She’s coming back Thursday to recheck it. I think my esophageal tumor is getting worse, as I have to eat even more slowly, and I can drink water only two swallows at once instead of my usual five. WWWendy came. In addition to her routine tasks, she borrowed a plunger at the front desk and unplugged the throne. I bought a plunger on Amazon, and it arrives this week. She also cleared a bad paper jam in my color laser printer. I ate late, got to bed late, overslept this morning, and am trying not to doze off now. Tuesday is flush your Republicans day, even if you need a plunger, when they misbehave.

Beau is actually much farther to the left than any of us, but he has a strategy of playing on his appearance and speaking modestly, leading up to his conclusions, to avoid alienating inawakened people, many of whom are his neighbors or just like his neighbors. No one here could make that work, and he certainly isn’t reaching everyone, but he has enough former and current Trump supporters following him and not trolling that it’s not toally without merit. It’s also why I’ve so often said when I’ve posted one of his, “Hear him out.” Unfortunately no CC on this. It’s regarding his appointment of Dr. Atlas.

To those of us used to Trump’s* tactics, his rhetoric on the violence in our streets merely reflects his PhD (piled higher and deeper) in Bullshitology. However, many of those who are politically naive, like far too many American voters, his message appears to be effective. Therefore Democrats need to be more effective at countering that message. Otherwise this happens.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden maintains his polling lead over President Donald Trump, though the commander in chief gained ground on the former vice president after the party conventions, according to a Morning Consult poll released Saturday.

According to the poll, Biden leads Trump by six points, polling 50% to Trump’s 44% among likely voters, compared to 52% to 42% before the Republican National Convention, but after the Democratic National Convention.

The poll was conducted Friday, the day after the RNC concluded. The poll showing Biden with a 10-point lead was conducted August 23, after the DNC… [emphasis added]

During and since the RNC, Trump* has focused on the violence in the streets that he has caused by inciting deplorable Republican Sheeple to riot violently.

In Germany in the 1930’s Hitler and the Nazis created the problem of rioting and social unrest. Then they blamed the problem on Jews and leftists. Then they blamed their own extreme violent response against Jews and leftists on the victims. Finally they convinced the public that they and they alone could solve the problem. How is this different from what Trump* and the Republican Reich are trying to do today? It’s isn’t, and I’m not the only one that thinks so.

Expert compares Trump’s politics to fascism

Before today, the Biden campaign has stayed aloof from this, and has let Trump* and the Republican Reich get away with it. That’s why Trump* is gaining ground in the polls. Biden needs to sound more like Portland’s Democratic Mayor, Ted Wheeler, and condemn the violence, condemn all who are committing acts of violence, including left-wing extremists, and condemn the Republican Reich that instigate the violence.
