  My Archie used to jump up into my arms. In fact, that was how I met him. But he also had a tendency to get “lost” (it may just have been because his territory was pretty large) and not come when called, causing me to go around the neighborhod, for blocks in some directions, calling him. And each time that happened, he’d jump into my arms (probably to get carried home. He was quite the opportunist. I adored him and still miss him terribly)
