My mechanic and I (I say “my mechanic,” but it’s actually a team) are in consensus that a new battery was needed, so I am calling and emailing around to find one that can be delivered. I’m ot committed as yet, but it’s still a relief to feel that I know what I need to do and have started doing it.

Fake news is not news. It’s been around forever. I’ve been defending Nero for a while now – along with Marie Antoinette, Richard III, and Hillary Clinton. Not one of them was guilty of the arson, murder, incest, or miscellaneous crimes he or she was accused of. Can we hope that Hillary’s reputation will fare any better than that of the other three? Here’s a quote:

TJI #1 – I truly wish he would. The optics alone wpi;d be so helpful, particularly with the behavior of Manchin making us look feckless. Canceling student debt would show that we aren’t – and it would show it particularlt to large groups of voters whose votes we need. Not all would be swayed, but I’m sure it would help.

New Yorker: The Smithsonian Magazine did a cover story on Nero, not long ago, in which it made much the same claim about the history we’ve been lead to believe. The QPublicans will not stop creating horse manure stories about Hillary, or “Us” because they are becoming swallowed up by the drift of the Q world into a viable religion. If they ever get theW.H. under their control, expect them to install a QShaman in place of the congressional minister, &/or W.H. minister. I have long seen religions as “Culturally supported delusion” (sorry), and the rise of the Q phenomenon seems, sadly, to bear me out.
All these days? The last time I left the house for anything more than to pick up mail or take out traash was in May 2020. But I don’t consider it stuck. I prefer living this way.

Sounds to me that you have your car issue totally on the right track. Hopefully you’ll get a battery soon. I like you, haven’t been driving around that often since the Covid-19 pandemic has been happening. Our health comes first. Plus you live in an area where you’ve had major weather issues too.

TBR: I don’t think Andy’s joking here. Unlike the last time he helped the former guy, Putin has learned that the real power lay in the hands of the Republicans all along. Putin wants America in a constant state of turmoil and the GQP delivers exactly what he needs.
MSNBC: Even his followers stop their pretence it’s all about Trump. There are so many leaders in the GQP now who promise them what they want to hear that they are quite happy to follow their orders in that holy war. They want America to be their White Supremacist America and do anything to get their way.
