Beau #1: I agree, Joanne, Beau knows how to present this case. The only problem I have with his reasoning is that I don’t believe that 55% of Republicans will ever change their minds on what happened because it was for the whole world to see what happened and who put those Trumpkins up to it. Even if the committee came out with even more proof of the former guy’s guilt and that of his Republican co-conspirators, they’d deny it just like they did with the proof of both impeachments.
Beau #2: He made it very clear that a) a lot of so-called risk assessment is lacking because it only based on fear, b) Nevertheless, pitifully bad risk assessment is still accepted to defend wrongful use of force and c) By adding morality to the factors used in risk assessment could vastly improve. Hmm, adding morality to the risk-assessment factors when force is about to be used is a personal option and also a capability. But why bring any morality in it when “b” is still the major factor? I’m afraid fear is a much stronger motivator than morality.
I don’t tink shre had a particullar building in mind, just one that looked massive.
And, yes, fear is a greater mptivator than morality – which is why he thinks it’s such a good idea to legislate the policy,which makes fear have some consequences of its own.
