Meidas Touch – Media slant

The Lincoln Project “Matt Gaetz”

Trae on Georgia boycotts

MSNBC – BBMM makes Bernie laugh (OK, it’s actually more of a sardonic grin.)

American Bridge – I try to include something funny that’s not political – but so much today that’s political is funny – in presentation, if not in subject – the new “Karen” can wait a day or two.

Beau talks about Beau, and a story

Keith, from yesterday – straight from Madison Suare Garden.

  1. Media is Helping Republicans STEAL Elections
I think the media misses having Donnie around.  He was good for business.
    Matt Gaetz
Talk about Fox news now shunning Gaetz – the monster that THEY created:
Fox News pretends Matt Gaetz doesn’t exist after disastrous Tucker Carlson interview
Fox News goes silent on Matt Gaetz and his sex trafficking scandal
Fox News Abandons Matt Gaetz in His Time of Need
Fox News Issues Brutal Statement that It Has ‘No Interest’ in Hiring Matt Gaetz
Fox News won’t even mention Matt Gaetz. It’s like they’ve “canceled” him.
    Georgia Boycotts
Hard to find a cheekier response to boycotts than Mitch McConnell to corporations:
SHUT UP!  But send us your money!”
    Amazon Workers Peeing In Bottles
At least Amazon admitted they do.

  2. MT: there is NO reason to trust the republicans, as any serious indiction of voter fraud have been republican activities.
LP: The man is a spotlight hounding, imbecilic, POS!  And I’m proud to announce my opinion!
Trae: He’s got some good points there.  But, of course!
“…bypass filibuster twice more.” I did not know that; WONDERFUL!  No wonder McTurtle is crazed.
AB: Bezos is pissing off a lot of people, it seems.
Beau: There are always going to be assholes trying to spoil good things.
Keith: “…really good parking.”  I love it!

    • I as a visitor a few times, and you as a former Jersey boy, are well aware that “New York” and “really good parking” in the same sentence is a miracle.

  3. MT: “Why are we trusting these people [Republicans] any more?” Good question every Democrat should ask themselves.

LP: Republicans must wish they had never opened that can of maggots labelled Matt Gaetz. And yes the metaphors are deliberately mixed 12

LR: Trea sums up pretty nicely what the pros and cons of boycotts are. The trouble with boycotts is that they are designed to hurt somebody, otherwise they wouldn’t work. Stacey Abrahams asking not to boycott the state really complicates things and drives a wedge between Democrats.

MSNBC: Bernie must be enjoying his time in Congress now that Democrats have accepted his Socialist policies to such a large degree with HR1. And seeing McConnell squirm and contradict himself must be the cherry on the cake. But as long as HR1 hasn’t passed the senate and is accepted, that is enjoyable but moot.

RA: By the time I was wondering about the female delivery people, the clip showed the bottle females can pee in, as sold in Amazon. You’d think Amazon would have the decency to provide all of their staff with an appropriate bottle, wouldn’t you?

Beau: I was truly amazed to hear that Beau’s videos had a far wider audience than “the choir” and that some of his content actually changed people’s minds. Beau’s not terribly frustrated by being taken off the program, limiting his influence, just sad. I’m more than sad thinking of the consequences it may have.

KO: Kudos to you, Keith, for putting this vaccination endorsement out there.

    • Beau has influence beyond the choir because he looks the way he does, sounds the way he does, and still says the things he does.  That is jarring to many people, but that gets them to pay attention.  It cuts through at least some preconceptions.  Plus he has a federal criminal record (as do, for example, John Kiriakou, Tom Drake, and Jeffrey Sterling, to name just three.)  His is not not for the same reason, but there is some moral equivalency, certainly in my mind: people who break the law when they can no longer bear to watch the law break people.  A federal criminal record gets the attention of some of the strangest people.

  4. Thanks JD.  35

Like yesterday I lack both the time and the energy to give these the attention they deserve, 23
