  1. How horrible and horribly sad/depressing that hundreds of lives were lost. Sickening.
HI, WWWendy. Hope that you and yours are doing well. Take all the time that you need, Tom. Your health and well being is very important to me, (and to others) Take good, good care, and rest & relax! when you need to.

  2. Best to WWWendy, and hope everything goes smoothly and that you get more rest. Lona’s comment yesterday is well worth attending to.

AOC’s birthday is tomorrow, 10/13. She’ll be 31. She can’t get to 35 soon enough for me.

Cartoon – I can be afraid without turning cruel. I can be angry without turning vengeful (or at least vengeful beyond simple justice – and not always even that.) I can recognize that “different” from me can often mean “better” and not have my ego destroyed. (And incidentally, I was an only child – I thought I should mention that, having been told so often that I don’t seem like one.) Why can’t everyone?

This story brought tears to my eyes. Good tears. I hope it will for all of you.

    • Yes, tears here too.  Moisture doing its seeping thing even as I start to write this.
AOC and 35, sounds good.  But, assuming Biden/Harris win, it might be too soon for AOC to run in 2024, as we do NOT need to split up the Dem. culture, again.  Could they break another glass ceiling, and run together?  Ad win?  THAT would be interesting, and lovely!

  3. Rest and try to think positive thoughts, like, in another month we might have good news out of D.C.
    Hi Wendy!
That was their kind of party, and, I’ve read, some local candidates are currently kissing up to their local KKK’s

  4. Keeping some regularity to your life is hard when you’re on your own, I’ve learned, and you kept to it amazingly but illness now makes it so much harder with a body that changes demands constantly. So oversleeping will hapen more often now; don’t worry, we understand.

Cartoon: Sickening cruelty on a scale never to be seen again in the US, I hope.

  5. Cartoon: Pure cruelty, shameful.
I sure hope you had a great visit with Wendy. I know I mentioned to tell her “hello” yesterday. Hopefully you both got everything you needed done.
Do get your rest, TomCat. The more the better.
It was a toasty 95 here in San Diego. It’s going to be that way all week, but it does cool down as soon as the Sun sets. Thanks goodness.
I logged on earlier to take care of sharing your post, but didn’t get back to going back to my computer till this evening.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat

  6. Can’t help but feel your Cartoon practically demands that Billie Holiday’s rendition of “Strange Fruit” be included:

  7. Thanks, tired hugs, and Amen to all! 19
