Because tomorrow is such a gruesome day here in the CatBox, I want to spend as much time as I can in bed today.  I just finished my video conference with the doctor.  Dr.  DeMeester has me tentatively scheduled for an operation to install a stent a week from tomorrow.  I need a Trump* virus test by Mon.  I’m trying to find a way to get that.  Happy Hump Day!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:03 (average 6:07).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Take:

From YouTube (a blast of past protest): George Harrison – Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) – Lyrics

Ah… the memories! Protest like the 60s! There can be no peace without justice. There can be no justice with the Republican Reich in charge.  RESIST!!

  1. Cartoon: Yikes!
BOP: Such a great song! Love this one!
Stay in bed as long as you need, and get your rest. Best to you for your upcoming op, and hope that it improves your health, and also, healing prayers for you. Hope that you get your testing done too, and that it comes out okay. Did you ever get your AC fixed? Hope so!! for your sake! Take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

  2. Rest and chill!
‘Toon: So, I’m now reading “The Warmth of Other Suns, The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration,” by Isabel Wilkerson.  It is about the massive movement north of several generations of African Americans to get away from the Increasingly Jim Crow south, after reconstruction ended, prematurely.  The burning cross, and the noose fit in perfectly!
Harrison: Given what you will be going through, here is a quote from a Beatle’s song that seems apropos; “With love from me to you.”

  3. As much time as possible in bed sounds like a plan to me. I hope it works out for you. Yes, that is indeed a lot of mayhem.

Cartoon – Today they don’t bother with that – they just use AR-15s.

BOP – All four so talented – and so different.

  4. Hi, Joanne
I’ve read several of Denise’s stories, and her PR Roundup.
What dt has done to these peoples, and to their beloved island is a tragic tale.
    Another crimes against humanity!

I can’t wait until he’s gone, so Joe can help these proud people, restore their faith, and take care of these folks.
    They sure do need it.
I left the island with spouse getting sea orders to Norfolk Va, 46 years ago. I can truly/honestly say that I loved PR. It’s beautiful, and the people are so kind and caring. I’ve never forgotten my tour(s), and also, Gitmo was another place of beauty and the VI’s. Great memories.

    • Exactly how I feel about Okinawa and the Ryukyuan people.   At least when I was there the islands had been returned to Japan, and and Japan was already working on building a tourist economy, starting with staging a World’s Fair there.  Making Puerto Rico a state could help, and there is a goodly amount of support for that here (I don’t know how much there is in PR itself, and I’d be inclined to respect their wishes, of course.)

  5. Cartoon: Shameful
BOP: Great tune. I pray for PEACE each day. I feel that we will accomplish it better once tRump is long gone.
Sure hope that you’re feeling better. So it will be next Thursday. Will certainly be praying that all goes well for you. Hope you’ll be able to get a test by Monday. It shouldn’t be a problem, since it’s a doctor is requesting it.
Good luck with your errands tomorrow. Be safe.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat

  6. I hope you’ve found your CIVID-19 test, TomCat, and also that your stent placement is scheduled as early as possible; you really are in need of it. Take as much time resting as you need and want, we understand.

3:29 Such delicate and pretty flowers.

Cartoon: That image always sends shivers down my back, realizing that some may have actually seen it when “Republican justice was delivered”.

BOP: Ah, but George was such an innocent.

  7. If your weather is like ours, bed is a great place to be!  It has been pouring rain all day making it cool and very damp.  You need rest to prep for the stent surgery.  Prior to that, it looks like you are busier than a cat on a hot tin roof!  Take it easy!  As usual, you are in our prayers every night.

    Take care and stay safe!

  8. Thanks and extreme Hurry Hugs to all! 26
