FILE– Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in her chambers in Washington, Aug. 23, 2013. Ginsburg on July 14, 2016, apologized for her recent remarks about the candidacy of Donald Trump, saying “On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised, and I regret making them.” (Hilary Swift/The New York Times)

KADDISH

Exalted and hallowed be God’s great name
in the world which God created, according to plan.
May God’s majesty be revealed in the days of our lifetime
and the life of all Israel — speedily, imminently,
To which we say: Amen.

Blessed be God’s great name to all eternity.

Blessed, praised, honored, exalted,
extolled, glorified, adored, and lauded
be the name of the Holy Blessed One,
beyond all earthly words and songs of blessing, praise, and comfort.
To which we say: Amen.

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, for us and all Israel.
To which we say: Amen.

May the One who creates harmony on high, bring peace to us and to all Israel.
To which we say: Amen.

  1. Thank you for this beautiful page set up to honour Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Nameless. It is so befitting her, that little woman who made such an enormous mark on the American justice system, who had fought so hard for justice even when she was desperately ill.

Rest in peace, dear Ruth, you’ve done all you can. It is now up to the American people to change the course of their government and their juridical system, keeping them apart as the constitution intended.

  2. Thank you Nameless.  I usually report deaths if I see them, but this time I hadn’t the heart.  I could never have done it as well as you anyway, though.

It is with unspeakable grief that I share a link to this petition, but it is necessary.

  3. Thanks JD for the petition — signed it!  If I could sign it a thousand times or 700 times 70 times (Biblical reference) I would!

I was trying to put together an article about RBG but I could not, not yet.  I feel like I have been hit by a Mack truck.  And of course, Trump and McTurtle are already conspiring to replace her before the election with Tom Cotton? Ted Cruz? Mike Lee?.  What Romney said a few years ago now, “what is good for the goose is good for the gander” seems to be appropriate here with regards to replacing RBG — not in an election year.  As McTurtle said back in 2016, “let the people decide”.

RBGs’s dying wish as dictated to her granddaughter — “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Rest in Peace Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg, faithful servant of We the People.

  4. Thanks Nameless!  13

    When I learned, I cried.

Meanwhile, Bought Bitch Midnight Moscow Mitch lifted his vile head and let enough of Trump’s* rancid semen to dribble from the corner of his ugly mouth to say that it’s perfectly appropriate for Trump* to nominate her replacement and for him to ram the conformation through the Senate a month and a half before a presidential election, even though he said five years ago that to confirm Obama’s nominee for Scalia’s replacement eleven month before an election world rob the people of their right to have a say in the matter.

I so wish that I could give RBG the little time I have left to prevent this travesty!

  5. I was so upset hearing of RBG dying yesterday afternoon. Last night, and throughout today, I was receiving emails from various petition sites to protect her seat from being filled by tRump and his rotten R buddies.
RBG did so much for our country. She will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg. We shall keep fighting for you. Bless you.
Thanks Nameless for this precious post.
