It’ll have to be “Sunday Smile” – but in the meantime, a tidbit to tide us over.

I had hearing back in 1999 – so I’m able to remember the tune (and words) from Don McLean’s wildly popular “American Pie”.

This version has been updated with the Founding Fathers as concerned choristers:

  1. Thank you, Nameless.  This is beautifully done and bears constant repeating.  (At least provided no one thinks “anyone but” means 3rd party and/or writeins.)

    • First time I’ve come across them.  Looks like they have a few other ditties – but I haven’t had a chance to examine them – but here’s their Website w/ the songs:

      • Thanks – this is the only one i had seen, and it was probably their first one – just a guess, based on the group’s name.  Others appear to feature very well know people but not exactly founders.  I only glanced at the one with Bob Dylan (I have some cards to answer today – I see you know that. I didn’t want to put anyone on the spot.) I’ll come back later) but it’s delightful, and I was going to go back.  Good to have a link to the home page!

      • Aw, gee, Nameless, I didn’t even get back to site – but saw this at DU – just went up today.  It’s not a tune I know but that doesn’t matter.

  2. Thanks for posting and for the link, Nameless. I have seen it before too, but this is so well done in regard to visuals, music and text content, it can’t be seen often enough. The site has some nice other parodies too.

  3. Excellent song!
But also,…with flashing red blinking lights w/warnings.
    Great tune.
Thank you, Nameless for posting this.

  4. Love the video. Great tune, Fits tRump to the T.
Being on YouTube, I pray that millions see it and wake up to what he’s done to our country and will continue doing if he’s not removed.
    Thanks Nameless
