It’s a busy day, here in the CatBox. I haven’t lost a meal since Tuesday, and Propanol has managed my back pain to a 2-3 level so far this morning. Store to door is delivering groceries this afternoon, and I’ll need to put them away. I am quite tired, though, because I ate late and got to bed late. WWWendy is flying to Iowa for a few days to see a boyfriend. I’m trying to talk her out of it. If she goes, she’ll be coming this Saturday and next Tuesday. Have a great day.

“It’s to ensure that people who aren’t receiving any income because of coronavirus get relief and that those who are food insecure also get some relief,” she said.
What’s that translating to in a draft bill in the House of Representatives, including sick leave for people who either have to be quarantined because of coronavirus or who actually have the virus. Other things, an extension of unemployment insurance and an extension of food stamps and aid for kids who get free and reduced lunches at school, but can’t go to school because their schools are closed.”

Well, I guess I won’t be going anywhere tomorrow. I just got an email that the place is in quarantine. Excellent decision on their part, though disappointing for me.
Checked my 401(k) again. It’s lost about 3% since Monday. Still not enough for me to panic. I probably would were I not already retired, though – because my mix would have been different and it would have lost more.
Most of us here are old enough not to have this problem; I certainly am, but it still makes me crazy. Where is the basic empathy/ability to ideate that makes it necessary for (so many) men to undergo personal deprivation in order to understand something so simple?

C&L: We’re all going to hell in a handbasket when our governments can’t stop themselves from politicizing a lethal pandemic. If there ever was a time to unite and work together it is now.
MSNBC: Your fake president is a gift to the world that keeps on giving: Trump made some big blunders in his coronavirus address. And it sent people into a spin He made 3 enormous blunders that either needed correcting or explaining or apologizing for and with those, he sent the global markets into a furder downward spiral. Ours fell with another 8%, totalling 30% in three weeks. Yours didn’t do much better I believe. The European market crashed too after Trump blundering announcement.
CNN: Pence is such a liar. He declared Trump has conferred with all sides about the Europe flight ban, the article I linked to clearly states he hadn’t. After that, I had enough. I hate to see the statistics after this is all over but I’m confident that the poor and minority groups will show the highest incidence of both infection and deaths. The rich and white will come out on top again, just because they can afford it, and isn’t that just what Pence’s religion wants to see happen?
