Jan 202020

I’m writing most of this on Sunday Night, and in the morning I’ll fill in puzzle times.  Congrats to Nameless and KC.  However, I was shocked and disgusted to see far more Bloomberg than Budweiser during the game.  I should be back from my cardiologist around 1:00 PM, so by the time I get out of my street clothes, put everything away, and eat, it will be well past my nap time.  I’ll try to do a “got home safe” check-in before I lie down.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:25  (average 4:44).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Cartoon – This is so true to life right now. I feel s though we are living in the 1950’s.

Good luck today with your appointment.

  2. 4:44 Pretty. I wouldn’t wear it myself.

Thanks in advance for the update, even if it doesn’t come until after the nap. We awai with bated breath.

Cartoon – Is their problem small notor coordination … or just ignorance? If they think Hitler – or even Nathan Bedford Forrest – would have accepted those sloppy salutes, they’ve another think coming.

[Off topic, but I can assure Patty Monster we are NOT living in the 1950’s. Good paying jobs were plentiful then, and we had a middle class.]

  3. Hope all went well w/ the cardiologist – the coming, the going and the visit itself.

  4. Just got home.  TriMet had a ling route.  Exhausted.  Need to undress, eat, and get to bed.  Cardiologist agrees that I’m 99% likely to be fine, but ordered a stress test because of all my other medical mayhem to be safe.  That means even more medical mayhem.  ARGH!!  Good Night! 26

  5. Your cardiologist agreeing that you’re 99% likely to be fine is good news, but in medical terms, it means there’s still a margin of error which they’d like to make as small as possible. If that means you need to do a stress test, that is annoying, uncomfortable, frustrating and a general pain in the butt, but in your own best interest. It’ll give you some peace of mind, TomCat.

3:16 The deceivingly pretty appearance of a deadly insect trap.

Cartoon: They have a lot in common with those who gathered in Richmond to fight for their “godgiven” 2nd amendment rights to dress up in camouflage suits and cary assault rifles on MLK day.

  6. ‘Toon: What Lona said.
Medical results: To be celebrated, and better to err on the side of caution, pain in the ass notwithstanding.

  7. Cartoon: Despicable. Agree with Lona too.
Glad you make it home from your appointment.
I agree with Joanne that it’s good your cardiologist want to be safe by doing the stress test.
Hope you ate something, plus got some rest.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat
