I’m having such a rough day with heartburn that I cannot concentrate.  I hope to return tomorrow.

  1. Good Morning, Tom.
Oh, NO!!! Hopefully it will diminish, and quickly!
I do hope that it goes away and that you can get your rest!!
DO take good, good care of yourself, rest, and rest some more!
Will see you tomorrow…take care, Tom.

  2. 6:42 Oh, dear. That’s definitely not what we were hoping to hear.

Cartoon – Giggle. (Not that it’s funny. In fact, it’s one of the things that define their misogyny.)

The title of this is “For those of you who didn’t live through the invasion of Iraq, here is what is about to happen” It’s an unrolled Twitter thread (so easy to read at least) and I have no idea who Mikel Jollett is, but it does match my memory pretty well. I do hope it doesn’t play out.

  3. I know of a few republican rectums into which something along those lines ought to be shoved!
    FEEL BETTER!

  4. OK – I realize I might be more than a little annoying. It’s only because I believe we ALL are truly concerned.
But I hope things improve greatly and rapidly.

Forgive me for being a broken record (I think I mixed my metaphors and said “clock” the other day) – but I hope you consider giving your PCP a call to update her WRT the severity & ask for suggestions.  Can’t hurt – might help – and no deleterious side-effects.

  5. This doesn’t sound good at all, not at all, TomCat. If things get worse you may need to opt for an overnight stay in the hospital if that brings your endoscopy and possible part-remedy of symptoms forward.

  6. Thanks all.  To answer your questions, Medicare will not cover an overnight stay when the procedure can be done without it.  The issue is getting me home, and that is 100% my responsibility.  I could go home in an ambulance, but it’s 100% out of pocket.  Next week I see the thoracic surgeon.  If he schedules my surgery sooner, I can get it done while I’m already in the hospital for that.  Hugs! 13
