Cartoon – What they would probably love most is that the “Twinkie defense” worked. And White wasn’t even a cop. Just – White. A travesty. Decent eople grieved then, and decent people who remember grieve now.

Mom made home-made mincemeat. I remember her attaching the hand-crank grinder to the countertop and grinding away.
I’m not sure if I have her recipe or not, but your mentioning it is going to prompt me to look.
Do you make your own mincemeat? Or can you now buy it in the grocery store? If so, probably a hunt to find it. I remember the first time I made Swedish Rye Bread and asked the kid where I can find the lard – he had NO idea what lard was and looked at me like I was an alien.

Nameless, my grandmother used to make the homemade version of mincemeat when we were children, Ma never made it, and I just go to the store now, to buy a jar. Or two. I find the mixture absolutely delicious.
It reminds me of simple days gone by, and my childhood memories with the pie(s) in the oven wafting across the house and sometimes outside, if the doors were opened for a minute, coming in from playing in the snow.
I get nostalgic, as I grow older, with the upcoming Holidays, and can see why Norman Rockwell painted his pictures with such flair, and the wonderful memories that one holds deep in their heart(s).
Oh…! got going on a different road there….I love mincemeat!! and pie!!
