It’s that time of week again, so here are three fine video clips from Bill’s show last night.  Enjoy!

Monologue: Snap, Crackle, Pop

I agree, that it’s not the age, it’s the mileage. I agree that Yang was a joke. I agree that Todd and Bloody Bullseye Barbie grifted apart.

Bari Weiss: How to Fight Anti-Semitism

I agree. The Jewish state has a right to exist, and Bibi-ism is not Zionism. However the Palestinian state has an equal right to exist, and Butcher Bibi must be prevented from achieving a one-state solution by force.

New Rule: Ranks for Everything

LOL! He’s right. Bill gets three stars out of five.

If he’d included the Michael Moore clip, he would have gotten four stars.

  1. Bill – Monologue – I prefer your debate coverage, TC, but he did get off a couple of zingers, and a good point or two.

Bari – “Why the Jews?” Yes, the Jews have been the scapegoats forever – long before the life of Jesus – and I have often wondered if I am the only one to whom it has occurred that the universality of picking on Jews is a great argument that Jews really ARE God’s chosen people and maybe anti-Semitism is a litmus test (and we are failing.)

New Rules – Very funny. But it isn’t insecurity, it’s simple competition. I mostly ignore them, unless there was something particularly good or bad – and that’s what they are counting on, I suspect. (Have you ever noticed the little boxes at the end of reviews where you actually can review the reviews – “Did you find this review helpful? Yes_  No_ “

  2. Thanks, Tom.

  3. Good for Bill calling out the ridiculousness of the nonstop review system. Seems to me that everyone wants to be a star with their petty long winded odes to themselves.

  4. Bill Maher #1: For those who haven’t followed the debate, like me, this was both an adequate and funny summary (but only after reading your analysis yesterday, of course, TomCat).

Bill Maher #2: Israel, the twin of America in right-wing politics gone off the rails, with two of the world’s worst leaders being BFFs

Bill Maher #3: That was one from the heart, wasn’t it? Things have not gotten as bad here and in Europe yet, but the review craze is catching on for sure and actually has become a commodity like everything else. I wanted to start using my hubby’s mobile because he had a better one for work and I went to the largest telco (telephone company) to switch the sim cards and put the data from my phone on his. I could do that all myself, but I just didn’t trust myself enough, nor did I have the energy then. We hadn’t bought the phones there, so the assistant asked me if I was prepared to pay $50 bucks for the service. When my face fell, she said she could send me a survey and if I gave it a 9 or 10 out of 10, she’d waver the fee. I agreed; she did a fine job anyway.

  5. Thanks and early hugs to all.  02
