It’s a lazy day, here in the shiny new CatBox.  WWWendy’s work schedule changed, so she’ll be 30 – 45 min. late during the week.  As a result, I got to bed late last night, and I’m feeling quite tired today.  TGIF hugs!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:38 (average 5:14).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Fantasy Football Update:

I’ve been so busy that I forgot that the draft for our fantasy football league, Lefty Blog Friends, was scheduled for tomorrow.  To give you warning time, I rescheduled it for next Saturday, Aug 31, at 10 AM PDT, 11 AM MDT, 12 Noon CDT, 1 PM EDT.  Please be there, Squatch, Patty Monster, Vivian, Pam, and Wendy!

Short Takes:

From Me: Scalia has company!

Krispy Koch for Republican Koch Suckers!  RESIST!!

From CBS News: A Michigan city council candidate shocked a public forum when she said she wants to keep “Marysville a white community as much as possible.”

Jean Cramer made the comment Thursday in response to a question about diversity in Marysville, a city in St. Clair County, 55 miles northeast of Detroit. The Times Herald in Port Huron says she’s one of five candidates running for three council seats in November.

The candidate further went on to state that she would not like “foreign born” people to settle in Marysville.

Republican to the end, she added that she is not against Blacks. RESIST!!

From Alternet: On Thursday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) tweeted out a message of unity and promised to work to reduce violence in his state, in the wake of the shooting in El Paso that left 22 dead and dozens more injured…

…But this was decidedly not the attitude Abbott had just one day before the shooting took place, when, according to the Texas Signal, he sent out a letter peppered with racist attacks on Hispanic immigrants — and a menacing, violent suggestion that Texans “take matters into our own hands.” [emphasis added]

That’s a problem with deplorable Republication Sheeple. When their leaders call for hate-inspired violence, Sheeple deliver it. RESIST!!

Vote Blue!!

  1. 6:11 JigZone doesn’t ever get tired of this one.

Cartoon – Indeed. Horrible way to treat all those Beemers and Ferraris.

David – I may be the only one who is orning at all, and I am only mourning that it ws David and not Charley. Charley had already effectively disposed of David by kicking him out of everything they owned. I wonder if his (David’s) estate will still be funding Nova on PBS. I suppose not if Charley has anything to say about it.

CBS – But she’s not a racist. Just ask her. Sigh.

AlterNet – When someone like that promises cooperation, you gotta wonder what that “cooperation” is going to look like – not to mention how long it is going to last. This is the guy who was embarrassed when Texas was “only” the number two state in gun sales.

  2. Cartoon: Yikes!
CBS: Wow! Bigot much, Ms. Cramer?
AN: Yeah, I read this the other day, to which the Texas Signal sent out a reply re: the govna’s statement:
“Ignore the governor, newcomers!! Welcome to Texas!!!!”
Hope that you get your rest, and grab a nap. Hope that you have a good rest of your day…take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
*This just in: I saw this..this morning, and thought, to give y’all a small pause from the ongoing political ‘sheet fest’ going on these days… a video from the great Leonard Cohen…’ANTHEM’.
“Ring the Bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything…that’s how the Light gets in.” ~L Cohen~

  3. Short Takes: Yes, Charles ought to have been the first to go, but we may be better off with one Som’bitch, than two.  Scalia, and Hoover, have a buddy.
CBS: It will be scary to see how many votes this POS gets!
Alternet: Abbott has, to my way of thinking, always been an ass, and I expect little of substance from him.

  4. Have a good evening Tom Cat and relax a little.😺

  5. I believe that one should not say anything about the recently dead unless it is good.
    David Koch is dead. Good.

  6. Cartoon: Awful the way they treat things.
CBS: Ms cRamer has a lot of nerve talking like that.
AN: Sure makes you wonder where he’s coming from???
Hope you have a better evening. Take care.

  7. 3:41 Too sweet for me.

Cartoon: They treat everything like that except for money.

David Koch: I hope he doesn’t have to wait too long on his brother.

CBS: The only thing of interest to me now is whether Jean Cramer was voted in as one of the three councillors of Marysville.

Alternet: Typical cowardly behaviour of a Republican. The ground underneath Greg Abbott’s feet was getting too hot (Dutch proverb), was it? Which brings me to the next proverb; Abbott was obviously “playing murdered innocence” after the shooting (which means to pretend that you’ve done nothing wrong while you have). Republicans are taught the art of playing murdered innocence by Miss (Moi???) Piggy herself.

  8. Fantasy Football — I should be there but next weekend is the Labour Day long weekend so some may have plans.

David Koch — It seems that the following from Shakespeare’s Macbeth Act IV is appropriate:

    “Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn and caldron bubble.”

CBS News — She’s not against blacks?  She does not want foreign born people in Marysville.  She’s just for whites only.  I wonder how she feels about foreign born whites.  Very Republican and very racist.  I hope she does not win a council seat.

AlterNet — “That’s a problem with deplorable Republication Sheeple. When their leaders call for hate-inspired violence, Sheeple deliver it.” — In spades unfortunately.

  9. Thanks and pooped hugs to all! 19
