It’s a muggy day here in the crappy old CatBox.  I assume that the Cat Scan showed nothing bad.  It was an unpleasant experience, because I had to guzzle over a liter of cat pee, and when it was over they lied to me.  They said there is no cat.  Who should I think did the Cat Scan a dawg?!!? Dawgs are for eating, not scanning!  I should be in the saddle today and tomorrow.  Thursday is moving Day. I’ll post a minimal Personal Update early in the Morning and, if my Friday morning cable installation is smooth, another on Friday PM.  I’ll be back on the weekend.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:11 (average 4:45).  To do it, click here. How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): ‘No Evidence’ Trump DNI Pick Ratcliffe Prosecuted A Terrorism Case

The Director of National Intelligence ought to have some. This sycophant creep has none. RESIST!!

YouTube (Parody Project Channel): FORGETTYSBURG ADDRESS – A Sandy and Richard Riccardi Parody

Love it Don! You pegged Fuhrer Drumpfenfarten perfectly! RESIST!!

From Think Progress: Imagine the utter contempt that Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) must hold for the American people.

“Again and again, Democrats have refused to join Republicans in guaranteeing coverage for pre-existing conditions,” Cornyn tweeted Monday morning. The tweet was in response to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stating it had been two years since Senate Democrats blocked President Donald Trump from repealing critical health care rules…

…In 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — a law that, among other things, ensured that insurance companies can no longer discriminate against people with preexisting conditions.

Every single Senate Democrat voted for these protections for people with preexisting conditions. Every single Senate Republican opposed these protections.

Cornhole Cornyn is doing what Republicans do best: lie. RESIST!!

  1. 6:04 Don’t get stung.  Today I’m up even earlier … for a 12-hour delivery window.  (It came … just about when you were posting … and is now set up.  Took a while.)

MSNBC – Sigh. No. No intelligence. But he lies so well.

Other PP – Flint’s not the only place with leaded water. It isn’t even the worst. It’s just the one that his the news, and more or less stayed there, because we can tell who’s to blame.

TP – But – if they voted for him – he’s absolutely right that they are dumb as rocks.

Cartoon – By that timetable, we’re a year late. But – people had standards then. I think we’re pretty well on the best schedule we can get.

  2. MSNBC: “…very little national security and intelligence experience….”  And, he lies! Wow!  Just perfect for Dumpshit!
This put me in mind of a presumed very, very, old quote:  Pharaoh Akhenaten, or archeologist Barry Kemp, has said: “The danger of being an absolute ruler is that no one dares tell you that what you have just decreed is not a good idea.”
And Dumpy certainly fancies himself an absolute ruler!
    PPC: Marvelous!
    TP: What Joanne said!
‘Toon: And my former congresswoman was among them!!!!!!

  3. MSNBC: Gawd, all liars!! What they do best!

PP: Truth!! Sung so well too!

TP: He’s not a good person for the people of Texas, nor his shadow (cruz), both are for big $$, and could care less about anything else. imho.

Hope that you have a good rest of your day, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Let’s ask Firefighter and 1st Responder Steve Buscemi if he saw Trump around lending a handto survivors on 9-11 at the WTC. ~ anon ~
    2. Challenge – “If trump didn’t say racist things, repeat what he said to a a co-worker, and see how long you’re employed.” ~ anon ~
    3. Happy 77th Birthday to the Navy Waves!! ~ pb ~ “On 30 July 1942, President Roosevelt signs into law the establishment of the United States Navy WAVES.” nt

  4. 3:43 Glad I didn’t win, that insect doesn’t look very appetising.

MSNBC: Another good man down (Coats) and his post soon to be filled by another Trumpian, who’ll further endanger the US and the rest of the world by telling Trump what he wants to hear and not what he needs to know. Because the hearing will be the same farce all the others have been and Ratcliffe will get appointed, to be sure.

PP: Don is spot on, as usual, and entertaining at the same time. Well done!

TP: The boss produces dozens of lies each day, so why shouldn’t his enablers get away with telling lies too. They have no shame and their brainless base gobbles it up anything that’s put in front of them. Lying used to take some effort, because one had to keep one owns facts straight, but Trump has made that all redundant and life so much easier…

Cartoon: I do hope you get to make a new, up-to-date version of this one very soon, TomCat

Good luck with the move. Take it easy and don’t overdo things, please.

  5. MSNBC: Sad. I don’t blame them for wanting to leave. I would of left on the day he first stepped into the W.H.
    PP: Good one.
TP: Despicable having ones who do nothing for the people of their state.
Hope your move is nice and smooth. Plus that goes for the cable installation too.

    • I wouldn’t even have been there for the first day.  I’d have given 2 weeks notice November 12 (What would have taken you so long, I hear you ask?  Well, I’d have written it on the 9th, but the 10th is a party day for Marines, and the 11th a federal holiday, so the 12th would have been my first chance to hand it in.)

All of which makes those who were as horrified as I but stayed to attempt damage control better patriots than I am.  Like Dan Coats.

  6. Cartoon — 4:25  Well as I live and breathe, I came in under the average.  But I didn’t beat the Puddy Tat.  Be careful of the stinger Puddy Tat!

MSNBC — How low can Trump sink?  He demands personal loyalty from sycophants over qualified skills based applicants that know the job and have the interests of the country at heart.  AlterNet headline: Trump might bypass protocol in naming acting intelligence chief because current deputy is not sufficiently loyal.  From is artic;e:

“… the problem Trump has with Gordon — even as a temporary intel chief — is that she would not be the type of unquestioning loyalist that Trump is seeking.”

Trump has never shied away from denigrating the US intelligence agencies if he does not like what they say.  So in response to my initial question, he is sinking a lot lower, so low that looking up at a snake’s belly is like looking up to the tallest skyscraper.  Absolutely outrageous!!!

Parody Project — Good one!  Keep them coming.  We need your sage words!

Think Progress — If Republicans had their way, the common people would not have access to affordable healthcare.  Period.  It isn’t Democrats holding things up, it is Republicans like Cornyn.  Lying is the sole ability that any prospective Republican must have, especially in the Trump times.

Cartoon — I would love to see Trump instead of Nixon on that sign!

I hope the move goes well!  Say hi to that wonderful gal Wendy!  She truly is a treasure!

  7. Thanks and Hump Day Hugs to all. 16
