It’s another busy day here in the tiny old CatBox.  Store to Door is delivering groceries later.  It’s also muggy as hell: 98% humidity.  Thank God it’s Wendy day.  I’m sticky!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:31 (average 6:12),  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Migrant Children Describe Sex Assault, Retaliation By Border Agents

The Republican Reich sure does love to torture Latino children, I would not be surprised to learn that Putin’s Pervert has hired Epstein to train that DHS employee and Acosta to represent him. RESIST!!

From YouTube (CNN Channel): Mitch McConnell’s 2020 challenger speaks out

If she gets the nomination, I will give her money. It will be a small amount, because I’m a poor man, but if this Oregonian can help America be rid of Bought Bitch Mitch, it’s worth it. RESIST!!

From TPM: Last week, the high court announced it would hear arguments in the infamous ‘Bridgegate’ case, where officials in former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s office were convicted of fraud and abuse of office for engineering a traffic jam as a form of political payback.

The court’s decision to hear the case follows two decisions over the past 10 years that have tamped down laws traditionally used to bring corruption cases against public officials.

Bridgegate could be a third notch in what legal experts described to TPM as a trend in the Supreme Court’s thinking on the topic, moving to limit the scope of statutes traditionally used to hold public officials accountable for corruption. This has stoked concern that the court may be poised to define public corruption so narrowly as to extinguish future prosecutions.

Actually, that makes perfect sense. Were it not for Republican corruption 5/9 of SCOTUS and 100%of SCROTUS (Republican anti-Constitutional VD) would not have their jobs. RESIST!!

  1. 5:07 Well. That certainly is – colorful.

Rachel – I don’t know what else we could expect, from jailers half of whom are members of an extremist racist Facebook group. the sheer volume of these “incidents” make it difficule for sane people to even take it in. Representative Frederica Wilson (remember her from the disastrous “condolence” call tothe widow of the soldier?) hit the front page last week (I think 0 there are SO MANY atrocities) that she visited a camp and the CBP would not allow her to see or speak with any adolescent girls, though records indicated there were many there. She said, “I don’t trust prople with adolescent girls” – the closest anyone has come so far to a direct accusation of child rafficking by the Border Patrol itself – but it wasn’t on the front page more than a day (I hope she has a solid bodyguard BTW).

CNN – I was thrilled to see Amy jump in. Here’s her first official campaign video

TPM – Perfect sense indeed. God help us (for sure, Republicans won’t).

    Cartoon – Exactly.

  2. Rachel: I watched this early this morning, and this news made me physically sick. It’s perverted, what a monster to do this. I wonder if anything w/be done though or will there be ‘crickets’? Children have rights too!!! This is sick, sick, sick!!

CNN: GO, AMY!!! Gawd, I pray she wins! I wish her nothing but the BEST!! McConnell needs to go!

    Cartoon: Yep!

Hi, Wendy! Hope that you get a chance to rest/relax. The humidity is bad here too. I gotta run, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. 🥰

  4. Even if the horrors in the Border Patrol detention camps are exaggerated ten times over, they are still unspeakable, inexcusable and unforgivable. No civilized nation would treat people like this, especially not children! What has the “great” USA become?

  5. Hell yeah, Amy McGrath – go for it! If you can boot Mitch the Monster out of the Senate, you go girl! There are plenty of organizations that will back you, including NOW, Code Pink and Ultraviolet, just to name a few.

  6. MSNBC: Sure, that’s how to “Make America Great….”
CNN: Ridding the country of that scum will go a long way towards making America great!
TPM: This court?  They will tighten the screws on justice as much as possible, will tae care of their monied buddies.  It must be hell to be a liberal on this court!
‘Toon: “Just like Faux Noise,” is right!  It might even have been Roger Ailes’ muse, just saying; he and Murdochshit.

  7. Rachel: Despicable to see this going on in our country. Sick that our leader is praising these creeps that run them.
YT: I also wish Amy the best.. I would love to see mItch the bi*ch voted out of office. He’s a disgrace to our ]country.
Hope you had a good visit with Wendy.

  8. Thanks and Hugs to all. 23

  9. Puzzle — 6:37  All those glasses and I cannot see!

MSNBC — You know that the Dark Lord is going to go on about leaking memos rather than dealing with the abuse as noted.  This not only taints Homeland Security and the CBP, but it taints the entire administration.  In my mind, these reports invalidate the election of the Republicans.  The Republicans have no moral authority to govern, if you can call what they are doing as governing.

CNN — I sincerely hope that McGrath puts McTurtle in the soup!!!  Go Amy!!!

TPM — May SCROTUS be struck down permanently by a terminal case of Republicitis or Republicosis, whichever puts them into permanent retirement!

    Cartoon — Faux Noise indeed!

  10. 11  We sure hope this Cruelty at the Border is over soon!
And the people that have done this are punished to the fullest!
    Thank you TomCat
