It’s a lazy day here in the CatBox.  The weather is comfortable, except for high humidity and very high grass pollen.  Tomorrow is a WWWendy day, and I may publish no more than a Personal Update, with no links messages on Care2, depending on how busy we get.  Have a great weekend.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:03 (average 5:42).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): President Donald Trump’s Tale Of Canceled Iran Operation Strains Credulity

The projected military losses on both sides, in addition to collateral civilian casualties is a standard part of all operational briefings for attacks. I think the Fuhrer just put on a big act to divert attention from his daily scandals. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Snopes Channel): Do Seniors on Social Security Have to Pay for Medicare While “Illegal Immigrants” Get It Free?

Thank you Snopes for exposing more Republican bullshit. RESIST!!

From TPM: Terms Limits? Who needs ’em.

President Trump tweeted a video of a doctored TIME Magazine cover that essentially depicts him running for president to infinity and beyond.

Trump has embraced the Republican plan to establish a permanent, totalitarian, plutocratic Republican Reich and adapted it to include himself as its permanent Fuhrer. RESIST!!

I overslept monumentally – no surprise to me – I’m sure the pain meds contributed – and still woke up hurtung in places. But there will be an Erinyes, just later than I’d like.

MSNBC – There is a rumor going around that even F*r Carlson thinks war with Iran is a bad idea, and helpd to argue him out of it (not, I’m sure, for any honorable reasons – but that’s a measure of just HOW bad an idea it is.)

TPM – I’s not hard to grasp that that is not what Time meant – the real point is right there on the cover – oh, but that’s in WORDS – and he’d have to READ. (Plus the fact the pictures feed into his wet dreams.)

Snopes – Well, that very succinctly explains what anyone with any brains could have figured out – so of course no Trump followers will believe it. The real question is, if refugees are willing to come here and work here and give up a portion of their paycheck for something they will in all probability never see returned, how bad must it have been for them where they came from?

Cartoon – I’m not sure they need to. They have already succeeded in making any parties besides theirs and ours irrelevant, and then demonized ours to the point that there are people who literally think a D after a name means “Demonic,” not to mention gerrymandering and voter suppression – I think they need us to be the enemy they can send to the gas chambers.

Off topic, but Nameless, do you have any idea what this is all about?

  2. MSNBC: He’s full of hot air, and it’s all about him, no one else. The only thing he knows how to do well, is deflect, and lie. A worn out comedy show. Constantly. btw…he’s concerned about ‘150 lives lost re: Iran’, which would have been horrible, but how about what is going on at the border every day?? Does he even care about any of these issues??? Geesh….

    YT: Good for Snopes!

Time: My worse nightmare times 10x!!!

    Cartoon: Gulp! Scary!

Hi, Wendy! Hope that you get all your chores done. Enjoy the rest of your day, take care, Thanks Tom.

*This just in: “I would imagine there will be a whole lot of coughing going on at the G20 next week.” ~ G.B.~
    2. “The UN is investigating the cases of cruelty re: the children in detention @ the border. ~ anon ~
    3. I read (somewhere) that The Chamber of Commerce is thinking of removing dt’s ‘Star’ on the Walk of Fame.” They should imho. ~ pb ~

  3. YT: If the dope spreading the B.S. about illegal immigrants getting free Medicare doesn’t know how to save an image but has to take a snap of the computer screen, that may show the lack of intellectual capacity necessary to believe and spread such crap.

Cartoon: Never, never, NEVER think for even an instant that it can’t happen here.

  4. MSNBC: Jackass!
Y/T: People who buy into that sort of garbage are just feeding their already present biases.
TPM: That is a terrible thing to do to Greig’s gorgeous music!  My son-in-law just told me that he became convinced that the Orange Jackass was his guy, simply because he seemed to “Piss off” both major political ends of the spectrum…did not even bother to listen to what he was saying!  I’ll bet that he was not the only one with that response.  The character of the person, what he apparently stood for, meant nothing.
‘Toon: That’s been the Koch boys long term goal, for years.
Personal note:  I’ve been recovering from a rt. shoulder replacement, since the 12th of the month, so please excuse my virtual absence.  Hey, I could get a letter from my doctor.

    • I did know about the shoulder replacement (since you told us) and have been wondering.  Apparently, it’s coming along.  Ten days isn’t much really.  Don’t push it (unless the doctor tells you to).  We’ll still be here.

    • Hope your shoulder replacement progress is on track for a speedy recovery.

Know quite a few friends and family w/ knee replacements – you’re the first w/ a shoulder replacement.

      Please keep us updated!

    • A friend at church had shoulder replacement surgery about 8 weeks ago and is liking the pain free aspect of daily life.  Keep at the physio — no pain, no gain.  That’s what I try to remind myself as I do physio for a gibbled left arm and hand.  Stop or slow down when it gets out of control.  Thinking about you Mitch.

    • I’m amazed that we’re seeing you this soon.  Kudos and take care. 03

  5. MSNBC: tRump is a flippin farce when it comes to telling his life saving stories. Just like Friday. him saving that he was going to tell ice agents to start their raids on illegals this Sunday, yet today he called it off for 2 weeks to give Congress time to come up with an alternative. He plays these dangerous games with people lives and it’s disgusting.
    Time: Agree with Pat.
    Cartoon: It is scary.

  6. Puzzle — 5:20  What can I say?  At least I am under the average, which these days seems to be stellar for me.

MSNBC — I find it hard to believe that Trump was not fully briefed before he made the decision to attack.  Mind, there probably weren’t any pictures so it is difficult to know just how much he understood.  Likewise, Trump does not give a rat’s ass about anyone or anything that isn’t him.  I have to admit that having people like warmonger Bolton in place concerns me for the lives of friends who live in Iran.

Snopes — Yet another reason that Facebook etc need to monitor their platforms and remove false “news” like this.  That won’t solve the problem but it certainly will help.

TPM — A Dark Lord wet dream that will never come to fruition thankfully! . . . well unless the Republican Reich manages to amend the constitution or suspend it.  God forbid!

Cartoon — Before banning other political parties, Republicans will gerrymander them almost out of existence.

  7. Thanks and Hurry Hugs to all. 26

  8. Appreciate the wonderful feedback, thanks!
My biggest problem was urinary retention, due to the anesthesia &/or pain meds, sparking a wondrous 3 visits to the ER, in 2 days.  Now, the catheterization days are gone, and the shoulder is trucking along, with the help of an ice pack and home exercises.  My daughter has been taking great care of me, at her home, and we’ve been for couple of N.J. country outings these last 2 days.
I’m in N.J. until, at least, my 2nd post-op app’t, on 7/9, then, hopefully rejoin my wife in Florida.
