Allan Lichtman: The Keys to 2020
Even before he wrote The Case for Impeachment, I considered Lichtman America’s premier political historian. He makes a lot of sense. Ignoring him is risky. But we do know who will meddle in the election and on whose behalf.
I disagree. Mueller could not have laid out a better case for Obstruction of Justice. But Oprah? Give me a break! We already have a TV actor in the White House, and he’s the worst Resident in history.
I think Bill really messed up the New Rule.

I will have to come back to this (did I mention I overslept?)
Bill – Monologue – 500 would be almost ten years even with no vacations. And sixteen years with. Wow. As far as Iran, Putin is probably the only thing standing between us and all out war with Iran. Bill, probably without intending to, explains very well why Democrats don’t need balls, but spines.
Lichtman – 2000 – In 2004, I even saw bumper stickers which said “Re-Elect Al Gore.” Yeah. He’s absolutely right. We need exciting. Which is one reason I’m now considering Warren my first choice. She always excited me, and, we are now seeing, as she starts to tour, she can excite lots of people. And Russien interference – I am very upset with Chomsky right now, claiming Russians aren;t the only interference. Sure they aren’t. But they are the most dangerous to democracy right now. Please don’t sidtract people from that.
New Rules – Yes, I also disagree on both Mueller and Oprah. (Of course, he does admit he was self-medicating at the time he came up with Oprah. And I DO agree she’d be better than Hickenlooper. But who wouldn’t?) No, he really missed the point here.

Allan Lichtman’s video should be required viewing for everybody in Congress, especially Democrats, and for every Democratic candidate. Democrats need to reclaim the left, and return to the party’s progressive roots.
Good show. Really liked his monologue. Agree with you about his New Rules.
