From Daily Kos: Back in May, Mitch McConnell passed a milestone: over 100 pieces of legislation that were passed by the Democratic-controlled House have been halted by the Senate majority leader before they ever got a vote. McConnell bragged about turning the Senate into a legislative cemetery, and he’s being a good crypt-keeper by making sure that even the most critical bills are dead on arrival.
That includes sorely needed legislation that would provide election security for 2020. As The New York Times reports, McConnell is blocking any vote on a bill that would provide funds to secure state and local election facilities against exactly the sort of attack that Russia carried out successfully in 2016. McConnell is also blocking legislation designed to force companies such as Facebook and Twitter to be more transparent about the sources of political ads.
McConnell is protecting Russia’s hacking. McConnell is protecting Russia’s social media campaign.
What else could McConnell do to grease the skids for more Kremlin interference?
He’s doing everything he can. This is not just Trump. Bought Bitch Mitch and the Republican Reich are conspiring with Russia. RESIST!!
From The New Yorker: The embattled Presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway will leave her post at the White House, effective immediately, and begin a new job at the Kremlin on Friday, the White House and the Kremlin have confirmed.
Conway, who has served as a counsellor to President Donald Trump, will serve as a counsellor to President Vladimir Putin.
The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, announced the news in sombre fashion. “Everyone here is happy for Kellyanne, but our nation has lost a great liar,” she said.

Since I wasn’t there, I’m not sure what to make of the tanker attacks. Iran? Terrorists? False flag?
Eisenhower made a BIG mistake with his “Under God” crap. All he did was piss on the 1st Amendment and encourage religious nut jobs.

MSNBC – They either couldn’t get their story straight at first, or else someone in the military was trying to sneak in a little truth. The WaPo first reported that the military had a video of Iranians removing a bomb from the ship before the explosion. Then, later, a correction that the video was of Iranians removing an unexploded bomb from the ship after the explosion. I smell BS.
DK – Yes, I know. Why doesn’t everyone know?
TNY – The head of the OSC (Office of Special Counsel, but nothing to do with Mueller – an ethics watchdog), a Trump appointee, nonetheless couldn’t ignore her violations of the Hatch Act. Well, I suppose Trump isn’t exactly ignoring them either … he loves them.
Cartoon – The Founding Fathers had exactly zero to do with the Pledge (they would have opposed it.) It was originally written in the late 1800’s, by Francis Bellamy, a Socialist, who, I’m sure, never expected it to become a big deal. It was very different in form from what we now know – “under God” was not the only addition (and people say it wrong too). I remember this and opposed it. Even at the age of (almost) nine I didn’t think it was right. My Mom opposed it too.

MSNBC: With Pompeo and Bolton at the helm, they’re salivating over this, and saying it’s Iran…when in fact there’s differing points of view that need to be considered. Most of us don’t need or want another war!

Cartoon: When I was working in schools, students were provided the opportunity to say the Pledge of Allegiance each school day. However, students can’t be forced to say the pledge. Most stood quietly if they refused.
