President Trump loves to blame China for the job losses that have devastated American workers under globalization. But the truth is that Trump is blaming the wrong party. Trump’s reckless trade war against China is misguided and amounts to a colossal charade that will not solve the actual problem.
Yes, it is true that numerous American manufacturing jobs have been shipped overseas to China, thereby leaving American workers jobless and suffering. But China did not steal these jobs…
…So if China is not at fault, then who is to blame for the devastation caused to American workers?
The answer is plain to see, and it lies within our own shores. The fault belongs squarely with corporate America.
It was corporate America that made these decisions. Corporate America decided to close their American plants and open new plants in China. Corporate America decided to lay off multitudes of American workers and ruin entire American communities.
The best example of this travesty is Wal-fart, who have given countless US manufacturers a choice between relocating manufacturing overseas and bankruptcy. Boycott the job exporters! RESIST!!

MSNBC – “Something about Pelosi drives him crazy” – it’s her competence, and being a woman. I think Robinson’s analysis was the soundest, although none of them is stupid (so unlike Fox!) I don’t think it is Pelosi who thinks Democrats can’t walk and chew gum – I think it’s the public. Democrats in the House are passing all kinds of great legislation. McConnell won’t let any of it get past the door to the Senate. Investigations are going on at the same time, and gaining ground. It would help if the media gave more attention to this.

MSNBC: Then there is the argument that if the dems do not go for impeachment, they are rather allowing this jackass to screw with the constitution with no consequences. I expect this does/would not enhance our image on the international scene. But, if this were a monarchy, Pelosi could be Queen!

Thanks for the Machiavelli quote. That (not the exact quote, but the concept) is something that helps me prevent the perfect from being the enemy of the good. There is no such thing as a Presidential candidate who is perfect, after all. But one who can choose great staff doesn’t have to be perfect to govern well.

I have to select a comment I made, and then select “Edit” to get to the options (Dashboard – Media – Post – etc.)
It’s a work around that works, but a bit disconcerting.

MSNBC: Drumpf made it very clear that he doesn’t know how to deal with Pelosi when he and his administration had to resort to spreading doctored videos to make her look bad. It didn’t do him much good other than it diverted attention again from the real issue: Drumpf and the GOP are incapable of coming up with any plans for the future of America. No infrastructure plan, no plan to replace Obamacare, no plan to tackle global warming. Democrats have good plans and come up with legislation that would work, were it not for McConnell keeping it from a vote in the Senate. At the moment Democrats are lucky that judges are willing to work with them at high speed to dismiss all Drumpf’s stonewalling, but they may need to resort to impeachment procedures as soon as the appeals reach judges that have been appointed by Drumpf/GOP and who’ll slow the process down again.

Alternet: Drumpf conveniently forgets that most of the products he marketed in the US under the Drumpf name, were/are produced in China too. No tariffs on those, I’m sure. The whole idea of another country ‘stealing’ jobs, is ludicrous. Protectionism is what it is all about; if it were about job losses, he’d put hefty tariffs on the products produced by American companies in China in the plants they’ve opened there. Instead, he awards those companies with tax cuts.
