Trump, despite the common mindset, is not the problem. If he were, the House would have passed Articles of Impeachment, and enough principled Republicans would have joined with Democrats in the Senate to convict and remove Trump from office. Why hasn’t that happened? The Senate has no principled Republicans. They all goose-step with their Majority Fuhrer, Bought Bitch Mitch McConnell. He says, “Case closed!”
Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, called on Congress on Tuesday to move on from the Mueller report and issued his own verdict from the Senate floor: “Case closed.”
“With an exhaustive investigation complete, would the country finally unify to confront the real challenges before us?” Mr. McConnell said. “Or would we remain consumed by unhinged partisanship, and keep dividing ourselves to the point that Putin and his agents need only stand on the sidelines and watch as their job is done for them?”
“Regrettably,” he continued, “the answer is obvious.”
Mr. McConnell’s speech pointed up the profound gap between the Republican-controlled Senate and the Democrat-controlled House. The Senate may be the senior chamber, but it still has no authority to prevent the House from investigating to the fullest. And the House will. I think this may be a blessing in disguise. It means we won’t have testimony from questions asked by biased Senators floating around to muddy the waters (like monkeys flinging poop) and can therefore just concentrate on our investigation, and getting to the truth. I’m actually not sure McConnell thought this through … if he really, really did and this is his best shot, I think that may be a good sign.
In all honesty, some days it’s difficult to decide who is destroying our Constitution quicker: Twitler or McTurtle.
There is probably not one Re-poop-lican in the Senate who is not Corporate America’s bitch, just like Orangebutt. Get out the Progressive vote, support real Democrats instead of corporate-owned Democ-rats, and create an even bigger Blue Wave in 2020!
CSPAN: The real challenge is about how to shut down McConnell’s Machiavellian manipulation of the truth! “Partisan paralysis” is his middle name. The gall of these bastards to continue to blame anyone else in the world of exactly what they do, is mind blowing! Schumer said it well, and succinctly. It’s bit like Monty Python: “Run away! Run away!”
