It’s another busy day here in the CatBox, and last night was so muggy that I slept poorly.  Have a great day.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:29 (average 5:50).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Trey Crowder Channel): GOT’damn with Trae Crowder

This is still way over my head, but do they really day ‘Dayyum’ in the crypt?  RESIST!!

From YouTube (Robert Reich Channel): Robert Reich: America Has Already Fired Trump

Is the Reich on the left, Robert Reich, right? I agree, but only up to a point. The Fuhrer of the Reich on the right, the Republican Reich, is still capable of inflicting considerable harm on America and the world. RESIST!!

From NY Times: Before the F.B.I. arrested Larry Hopkins, the leader of the right-wing militia that detained migrant families in the New Mexico desert, he’d had so many run-ins with the law that his police record stretched across much of the United States…

…Mr. Hopkins finally came under the scrutiny of federal authorities in 2017, after the F.B.I. received reports that his group was “training” to assassinate Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and George Soros, according to documents unsealed Monday in federal court. [emphasis added]

Dang! When I wrote about him yesterday, I knew he was an Ammosexual Republican, bit he’s even more Republican than I thought. RESIST!!

Cartoon:

It’s hard to believe that Politics Plus existed (on Blogger) before YouTube did.

  1. Trey: **GOT**  I am so glad that Brienne (of Tarth) was knighted. I almost cried. Shame Bran lost his direwolf, a few years ago, he could have still had Summer to protect him. They’re all stocking up right now, for the upcoming battle, as the Walkers are almost there. Yeah, next week w/be alot of pain & sorrow.

RR: Excellent video! “An old land mine buried in the mud”. Lookout as he’s still dangerous. Well said!

NYT: Got quite a list there. He’s a danger to himself, and others. Where’s the rest of his pack that threatens other people? Glad he was arrested.

Cartoon: Seems like yesterday, doesn’t it?

Hope that you get your rest. Take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: re: dt’s tweets – “How many more ‘angry Democrats can dt pull out of his as-? We started with 13, then 14, now we’re up to 17. Let’s just say there are 13 million of them, and leave it at that!” ~ Gail M. ~

  2. 4:28 I remembered this one as being ungodly difficult due to the random way the colors of the stones change. And I remembered right (but got a little lucky)

GOT – The secret to the actor’s unnerving stare is that he can’t see without his glasses. I suspect no one asks him to elaborate is that he terrifies everyone! No, I don’t watch, but apparently George Takei does, and I read his newsletters. I’ve also read that the underlying story grew out of the history of the Wars of the Roses (which didn’t have any dragons or Zombies). Cersei was based on Margaret of Anjou, who was historically a holy terror.

RR – I agree with you, TC, he’s still dangerous. At least he’s blocking Mike Pence, though.

NYT – Sure wish they had arrested him before he started kidnapping vulnerable people. At least they have him now. Hope they hang on to him.

Cartoon – Really. How interesting. And now it’s so full one can hardly find anything one is looking for, and growing exponentially.

  3. TCC: I am of another culture, as I was when “Friends” was showing on TV, and “Married With Children,” two shows that were either for fans of alcoholics, with nothing else to do at night, or lovers of stupidity!  AKA: I never saw an entire episode of either.  “Game of Thrones” is meaningless to me, I am literally ignorant of its plot, its characters, and “Don’ give a Dayyum!”  What the hell is the crypt, anyway? No, don’t bother.  I do know that my grandson, born and raised in deep south Alabama, does not ever go to get a “hair” cut, he gets a “hayyer” cut; 2 syllables, if you please!
RRC: I’ve seen this talk before, with different visual effects.  “President Irrelevant” would be a wondrous way for history to refer to him.  Sadly, though, his legacy is not just in his frigging judicial picks, it is in his enabling, and enabling the crazies on the religious, bigoted right, (oh, I hear you say, “But, to be in that category, they all have to be crazy in the first place!”);and yes, you are correct.  So it is the particularly frothing at the mouth crazies, like one A. Jones, and one R. Limbaugh, and one Mikey P., to name just a few of the bozos!
NYT: There you go, anothe of the other frothing at the mouth crazies, and his special chosen ones.  I’m glad he was already on the FBI’s radar, now, perhaps, they can shoot him down, figuratively speaking, that is.
‘Toon: Wow!  14 years, and I’m just catching up?  Honey, where are my 8-tracks?

  4. Robert Reich is definitely right!!!
trump is nothing, a joke, a has been, FIRED & the entire world knows it!!!
Just keep his little fat finger off that red button!!!

  5. RR: Good points. I too agree with you TC that tRump is dangerous.
NYT: Seen this on the news yesterday. Glad they arrested the stinking no good creep. We don’t need crazy idiots like him rooming around our towns.
Cartoon: 14 years ago…..Time sure does fly.
Hope you get to feeling better and that you get some sleep.

  6. 3:17 Those herbs on the windowsill look thirsty.

Trey: I still have no idea what he’s on about.

RR: Robert Reich may be right, as he usually is. but in two more years Drumpf can do much more harm to America and the world than we can imagine. By starting a war with Iran, for example, or a (trade) war over Iran, like he’s trying to do now.

NYT: OMG, I pity those poor asylum-seekers who fell into the hands of these horrible men. Sounds like they arrested their leader, and the rest of them, before they played judge and jury with the people they had “arrested”.

Cartoon: Is it 14 years ago already? I suddenly feel old.

  7. We’ll let Pat be our GOT expert.  Thanks and Hump Day Hugs to all. 22
