From Washington Post: The leader of an armed militia that scours the southern border for undocumented migrants was arrested by the FBI on Saturday, days after a video of the group holding migrants against their will sparked outrage.
Larry Mitchell Hopkins, 69, was arrested in the New Mexico border city of Sunland Park on charges of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, the FBI said.
He is expected to appear Monday in federal court.
Hopkins leads the United Constitutional Patriots, or UCP, one of several militias that have taken to patrolling the border.
These racists are NOT patriots. They are Ammosexual Republican criminals. RESIST!!
From NY Times: President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani, insisted on Sunday that it was acceptable for a political campaign to use hacked information about its opponent obtained from a foreign adversary — though he personally would have advised against it.
“There’s nothing wrong with taking information from Russians,” Mr. Giuliani said on CNN’s “State of the Union,” adding that he would have argued against using it, “out of excess of caution.”
He used to be Rudy 9/11. Now he’s Rudy Bullshit. RESIST!!

John – “Inappropriate for the President to be asking for … from a hostile foreign government.” It seems to keep going over everyone’s head that it would be equally inappropriate to be pushing for this kind of deal with a friendly foreign government. Mr. “America First” is mighty cavalier about using America and the Presidency as a bargaining chip. OT, someone said Rosenstein looked like a hostage. I have to agree. That may be the only Republican in modern times I have to feel sympathy for.
WaPo – “Patriot” is a word which has not been used accurately since 2001. I’m glad they arrested Hopkins. I hope he faces significant prion time. I’m not holding my breath.
NYT – I can’t imagine what his rationale might be (assuming he even has one). The law prohibits a campaign accepting anything of value from a foreign donor. If the information in this case had no value, why would they even want it?
Cartoon – Eventually they led to his downfall. Enough Americans at that time had enough decency (and remembered what Nazis are like) to be unable to stomach him, and there were journalists who were willing to call him out. Today? Not so much.
LWC: Good video. He’s (dt) sullied the presidency long enough! Does this read like dt doing what he does best for the Nation?…wrote 30x’s ‘I do not recall’ in answering Mueller’s questionnaire. Filing a suit vs. House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings seeking info on his finances? The hits just keep on coming, don’t they? About Rosenstein….it looked like he needed to go to the restroom, to void that experience w/Barr. imo.
WP: Certainly not an individual I’d want to meet. Sometimes Justice intervenes, as in this case, it worked.
NYT: I watched this video about 3x’s, and still can’t see where he is going with his comments. Says one remark, then takes it back, or waters it down. It’s called ‘criminal acts w/Russia, Rudy.

NYT: No, I don’t think Drumpf needs to keep his promise to drain the swamp; not now Giuliani has also sunk to the very bottom of it.
