It’s starting to warm here in the CatBox. My hopes and prayers are with the people of Paris over the fire at and near destruction of Notre Dame Cathedral. I am thankful that it can be restored.

I still have no words for Notre Dame. It’s unimaginable.
Trae – LOL! I don’t follow it either – but I thought Tyrion was conspicuous by his absence from the summary. Is he still alive? Whether you know about the show or not, Trae can be so funny he makes you think you do. And a soap opera is a soap opera, regardless how outré the setting (think Downton Abbey.) That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad or not artistic. Soap operas reach a lot of people who can’t be reached any other way (as well as many who can, of course.)
RR – I doubt if anyone here is fooled by any of these – it did just occurred to me that if you have 40% of the economy’s wealth, paying 37% of Federal income tax revenues is NOT paying your share.
Huckleberry – Some Democrats probably would be challenged. Even some Democrats in Congress. But there are enough well educated, financially sophisticated Democrats in Congress to understand perfectly and even explain it in terms simple enough for any Democrat, and even many Republicans, can understand.
TNY – I say bring them on! Blue cities know just how to deal with people like that!
Cartoon – I wonder how much of that was our fault and how much would have happened anyway.
Reich’s video needs to make the rounds among people of all political persuasions. The extreme righties will dismiss him as a far-left creep, but they still need to think – if they can.

Dollemore: Sarah Huckabee Sanders is of the same genius ranking her boss makes himself out to be – which calls for a whole new word for true geniality, by the way – so she’s capable of following his warped reasoning and can repeat them to the press. And she isn’t suffering from dementia, so she can actually remember all of that reasoning and doesn’t back-flip every 10 seconds when it has slipped her mind. It’s rather amusing to have Dumb an Dumber call Congress too dumb to understand Drumpf’s swindling with his taxes, don’t you think?
TNY: I can well understand the panic this would cause, Andy. All sanctuary cities would much prefer to have thousands of hard-working, law-abiding immigrants sent to them than those criminal, good-for-nothing rejects from society that have tried to make a career under Drumpf because no-one else would have them.

I was in the cathedral back in 1978 and it was magnificent. M Macron started the fund raising today and a report says that some billionaires have already ponied up $700 million towards the restoration which will likely cost 6-8 billion dollars and take decades.
Well my boys sure did enjoy their birthday dinner of roast chicken! They even shared it with their sister.
