It’s that time of week again, and here are four excellent video clips from Sam’s show last night.  Enjoy!

Roe V. Wade V. Everyone

Women’s reproductive health must be exclusively women’s choice. The Republican Reich wants government to fit between women’s legs.

Anti-Anti-Vaxxers

Once upon a time, I thought that Anti-Vaxxers were ‘harmless fruitcakes’. I am now convinced that only the second half of that description is true.

White at the Museum

Is “white culture” skin-deep or cultural bias? I think the latter.

Samantha Bee Responds to Joe Biden

In my day (I’m 71), behavior like Biden’s was considered acceptable, and I often hugged people innocently. If it made women uncomfortable, they never told me. As time changed, I learned about personal space and changed. I still hug people. Man or woman matters not. But now I ask, until I know it’s expected and appreciated. I think Joe was oblivious to cultural growth, and as long as he changes, he should not be pilloried for this. Spot-on Sam!

Good Show, Sam!

  1. Act 1 – I’ve decided to pass this story over, since it’s outside the US, but it’s pertinent here: If government can prohibit abortions if it wants to, it can also mandate abortions if it wants to. They love to ignore that.

Act 2 – No, they’re far from harmless. I grant that anything – absolutely anything – like even a BandAid – can have side effects. But vaccines are some of the lowest side effect procedures that exist. And they’re working on reducing those. There is now a flu vaccine which contains no egg, for instance.

Act 3 – I could see this coming. Of course, I majored in classical languages (and history) in college … and I know how much people in history loved bright colors. (I also know there is only one race of humans – the human race.)

Joe – Yes, I think you’re right. I think there are others I might prefer as our candidate, but this is not a reason, and it’s no reason to disqualify him. (Besides, he apparently scares the F out of Traitor Tot.)

  2. Sam is so spot on! Sam 1: This is a personal decision for a woman to decide, whether she wants one, or not.

Sam 2: Got my kids the vaccines that they needed. I have never thought otherwise, either.

Same 3: Bias, anyone? I didn’t know the history about this though. Great piece.

Sam 4: As a child raised in the NE, from family grandmothers/fathers to cousins, hugging was a norm growing up. I still hug. I found his apology heartfelt, and I also don’t believe that he should be disqualified.

  3. #1: The trailer for “Unplanned” is a laugher. Only somebody who doesn’t know the first thing about Planned Parenthood would think it has any merit. Happily, it has a Rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, here in Georgia, people are poised for action if the evil “heartbeat” bill is passed. Film companies have already promised a boycott, and I have sent a message to governor [sic] Kemp warning him of the consequences if he sucks up to the misogynistic orcs. Whaddaya want to bet that Stacey Abrams would be doing something about Georgia’s godawful maternal mortality? If people can claim embryos as tax deductions, does that mean pregnant women can drive in the HOV lane? You’re going to see lots of women stuffing pillows under their shirts to get away with such a loophole.

#2: Anti-vaxxers – fruitcakes indeed! I’m glad that Facebook, Amazon and Google are taking steps to squelch their bulls–t because it is dangerous and harmful. These fools are putting their children, and other children, at risk over a myth. Anti-vaxxers, flat-earth bugnuts – is there a connection?

#3: Thanks for the history lesson, Lucas Brothers! So, whiteness is pretty much a B.S. concept. What a relief.

#4: There is appropriate touching, and there is inappropriate touching. The latter is what tRump and Schwarzenegger did. If Biden engaged in any inappropriate touching, his status as a Democrat in no way grants him immunity.

  4. Really enjoy Sam’s videos.
    1. Agree that women should have the right to choose. They certainly don’t need others doing it for then,’
    2. My son had the vaccines he had to have when he was growing up. Thanks goodness never had problems.
    3. Good one.
    4. Agree with Freya.
