From The New Yorker: German Chancellor Angela Merkel demanded that Donald Trump issue a “complete and sincere apology” to the German people, after Trump claimed incorrectly, on Tuesday, that his father was born in Germany.
“Of the many insulting things that Donald Trump could say to the German people, alleging that his father was born here is by far the most hurtful,” she said. “He must take it back at once.”
Merkel said that Germany would consider breaking off diplomatic relations with the U.S. immediately if Trump did not acknowledge “that his father was born somewhere else.”
I agree with her, Andy. Germany was right to expel Grandpa Drumpfenfarten for draft dodging. RESIST!!

NationSwell just named ten “innovators who are rejecting old rules, solving problems and protecting the planet.” I was impressed how many are women (80%).
Credo is into the last round of its “Bracket of Evil” but there’s still one matchup. It’s open for the next four days roughly. Pictures that are X’ed will give you the name if you “hover” on them.

Rachel – It seems to me most telling that each section of the report INCLUDED a summary, done by the person who had specialized in that area – a summary which was carefully designed to be immediately releaseable – nothing classified, nothing that would jeopardize any other ongoing investigation. Those people are very, very upset to have their work apparently discarded.
Lightfoot – Chicago has had some really terrible mayors over time. Remember Daley? Emanuel was right in that mold. As you say, she’s GOT to be better. We shall see.
TNY – You make an excellent point that Fredo might indeed have been born there, had Germany allowed HIS father back – which they didn’t. I’m terribly sorry for Germany to suffer this insult.
Cartoon – Yes. A very sad day – and that’s a drastic understatement, but there are no words.
Credo is still on my no go list for cheating me out of hundreds of dollars. They do advertise like progressives, but do business like Republicans.
They also donate money to progressive causes, and this face-off is a way for them to triage whom to give to. I don’t give then any money myself, but I’m on board for having a say in who gets it. (Usually they pick three groups every month, and one can vote for one, or two, or all three.) I realize that’s no consolation for your loss., for which I am heartily sorry, and I don’t blame you for not going there. I’d feel the same.
That’s true, but it’s a very small percentage. I found that I could get a better phone and a better plan from another carrier for over 25% less. If I donated the savings myself, the causes could get far more. In addition, their phone did not work as advertised. They refused to fix it. They refused to replace it. They refused to release me from a long term contract. Frankly, I think they are a scam.

“In a stunning last-minute change of strategy, the new attorney representing Alex Jones in a lawsuit brought by a Sandy Hook shooting victim’s mother said Wednesday that he will seek to have the case dismissed solely on the legal grounds that a claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress cannot be brought by someone who was never named by Jones, even if Jones knew what he was saying was not true.”
Go figure, ugh!
Today I took part in a protest calling for Mueller’s report to be released. Many were the honks, beeps, fists and thumbs-up we received in support. One guy held his nose, but that could have gone either way. Even MARTA (Atlanta public transit) drivers honked for us! Let us keep raising hell so We The People can read Mueller’s report and draw our own conclusions. Barr is tRump’s lap dog!

MSNBC: tRump seems to always get the chosen ones in their to do or hide his evil tricks. I heard this evening, that someone from the Mueller’s team is saying certain things about what bArr isn’t telling in his reports. So hopefully the Democrats will get this report.

TNY: Andy, I don’t think Angela Merkel is very angry with Drumpf. She knows he’s so senile he can’t distinguish between his father and his grandfather. And she’s a woman with a lot of compassion so she won’t mock him for being a dotard. In fact, Angela Merkel is everything Drumpf isn’t.
