It’s that time of week again, and here are three excellent video clips from Sam’s show last night.  Enjoy!

Richard Sackler Handsome Big P*nis Not a Murderer

Abuse of opioids certainly is a crisis, but I have to add that occasional use for pain without abuse is possible. I have averaged < 2 pills per month for years, but when I need one for severe phantom limb pain, I really need it. Nevertheless, the Sackler family are the worst abusers of all.

The Fox News White House

I’d actually rather watch Stormy than the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise.

A Brief History of Brexit for Americans

Brexit Bridiots prove that the UK also has a Republican Reich!

After a three week absence, I’m glad Sam is back!

  1. Act 1 – I personally think those with legitimate opiate needs to combat chronic or intermittent chronic pain are the most victimized of all. I’m extremely glad you have access, and I hope and pray you do not lose it to opiate paranoia. (Not totally off topic – am I the only person who thinks that marketing ANY hoodies is seriously tone deaf after Trayvon Martin’s death?)

Act 2 – Who WOULDN’T rather watch Stormy than the Reichstag? She is witty and accomplished, not to mention brave. (The New Yorker does really good investigative journalism. Unfortunate that they don’t have a larger audience … although, I guess the people who MOST need to understand the facts they find would have difficulty with the vocabulary.)

Act 3 – It also proves that Russia has tentacles there as well as here. (And incidentally that Andy Serkis is a genius.)

    • As a more than quarter-century subscriber to “The New Yorker” I can attest to their level of quality journalism.

Sometimes the articles can be pretty arcane – but always interesting.

Hell – the cartoons alone are worth the subscription price!

    • I hear you.  Megan has been a stickler about refills! 01

  2. W/watch later. Thanks, Tom.

  3. Sam #1: The Sacklers misrepresented the strength of their product as they sold the medical establishment on it!  They also, BTW, created the blueprint formal the Pharma. ads you see on TV, selling directly to the public.
THIS JUST IN : Manafort gets a frigging big 47 months!  Gee, I wonder who appointed this judge, G.W.Bush?
Sam #2: Murdoch is the enemy, not the media!
    Brexit: More idiocy!

    • Judge Ellis is a Reagan appointee.

Incidentally, there was a fellow named Judas who actually did live a blameless life — until he didn’t.

  4. Sam#1: Really is a shame how bad the opioid crisis has become. What bothers me is the fact that many innocent patients that have severe pain from injuring themselves, can’t get it their doctor to prescribe it. They are blaming it that the government is monitoring them. So instead of getting after the ones who do prescribe it like its candy, they ruins it for everyone.
Sam #2: Agree with you TC about rather watching Stormy.

  5. Thank you for Sam Bee TomCat.

  6. This will have to wait until tonight to watch with hubby, but I give no guarantees we’ll make it through all 🐝🐝🐝 because our jet-lag is much stronger than we are as soon as we sit down on the couch in front of a television screen (linked to my computer). Yesterday evening, after our return, it took more than five synchronized nodding-offs before we finally had enough energy to drag ourselves to bed.

  7. Sam 1 — Amen JD!  I had to use an opiate during recovery from my broken ankle.  I was so worried about addiction that I would go without as long as possible.  Fortunately I did not become addicted.

“…the Sackler family are the worst abusers of all.” — AMEN!

Sam 2 — My syntax might be off, but here is my take on the situation using my parody of a childhood song.

Faux Noise and Trump sitting in a tree

                   K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!

First came Rupert, then came Hannity,

Then came Faux with a suit of paternity!

Sam 3 — JD mentioned Andy Serkis.  Here a short video of Andy doing British PM Theresa May and the Brexit plan.  I don’t know this but I suspect that the recent bombs in busy transport areas of England which originated in Ireland may be Brexit related.  One of the contentious issues had to do with the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland which is part of the UK.

  8. Thanks and Hugs to all! 17
