It’s a cool day.  I’m a bit tired, because WWWendy got a late start yesterday evening.  There was a accident on I-84.  I’m getting a late start, because I wrote a letter to the Parole Board on behalf of one of my guys.  I hope you all are having a day that of fully free of Republican Rectumania.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:54 (average 5:26).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Media Matters Channel): What Fox News covers when it’s avoiding bombshell reports about Trump’s lawyer

Barf Bag Alert!!

That’s what I call a BS tornado! RESIST!!

From YouTube (Vox Channel): The ‘duck curve’ is solar energy’s greatest challenge

Interesting! Who knows how to cook this duck? RESIST!!

From The New Yorker: Calling it “maybe the worst deal ever,” Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that he is considering pulling the United States out of the United States Constitution.

“I’ve seen a lot of bad deals in my life, but this Constitution is a total mess,” he said. “We need to tear it up and start over.”

Trump was scathing in his remarks about the two-hundred-and-twenty-nine-year-old document, singling out for special scorn its insistence on three branches of government. “The branches thing is maybe the worst part of this deal,” he said. “The first thing we do when we pull out of the Constitution is get rid of two of those branches.”

He also called the First Amendment “something that really has to go.”

“No one in his right mind would put something like that in a Constitution,” he said. “Russia doesn’t have it. North Korea doesn’t have it. All the best countries don’t have it.”

Dang, Andy! I hate to tell you this, but Trump pulled out of the Constitution the day he took office! RESIST!!

  1. 6:48 I’m not fond of chows. Watching one kill two kittens while powerless to intervene will have that effect.

Not as pretty as Randy Rainbow … and not as funny as Randy Rainbow … but possibly even scarier than Randy Rainbow. From VoteVets.

MM – Oh, no kidding. And, alas, very human.

Vox – I thought solar panels DID have energy storage features to even out production and demand. It they aren’t doing the job they need to be improved, certainly. I only know how to cook geese myself.

TNY – Just a little too true to be funny. And not just Trump. There are millions of crazy Talibangelicals who feel exactly the same way. See my meme.

Cartoon – Yup! Not good then, not good now.

    RESIST AND PERSIST !!!

    • “I’m not fond of chows. Watching one kill two kittens while powerless to intervene will have that effect.”

So very, VERY sorry to hear of this.

(I fully understand: “Dogs being dogs” – but still very sad)

    • ‘Buying An Assault Rifle With No Background Check’ you have no idea how insane that vid is to someone from Australia!!!
      i couldn’t stomach the faux vid! ?

  2. MM: Good Grief! Bleck!
    Vox: Interesting!!
    NYer: Kinda scary, isn’t it??
    Cartoon: Word.
    *Joanne: Very scary indeed.
I’m sure that your guy appreciates you doing that. The Retirement reception last night was wonderful, I had something in my eyes the whole time. Get your rest, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Joanne, sorry you witnessed such a terrible thing. I, though, blame the individual dog more than the breed.

Renewable energy is the future. Period. No matter how much Dead Dinosaur Fuels try to delay solar, wind, etc., they are doomed in the end. Coal and oil are limited, while wind and solar are not, for all intents and purposes.

Today’s Republicans have regressed far, far back from the log cabin. Under-the-rock is more like it.

    • I don’t blame the breed, or even the individual dog, so much as the owner.  But I still wouldn’t want an animal around whose appearance would bring the scene back every time I looked at him or her.  And that wouldn’t be fair to the dog either.

  4. Cartoon: The Republican Party has regressed sooo far back that it should be declared as extinct.
    .

  5. MMC: Not going to watch.  I see what Faux News puts out when I see the bank of TV’s at the gym: it is virtually all horse pooh.
Vox: I thought that there was already some capacity for storage, though perhaps not enough to kept grid going over night.  I expect that that will be coming.
New Yorker: THIS is exactly what Charles Koch, and the Radical religious right want…badly!
‘Toon: The GOP belongs in the evolutionary mistake-that-never-survived tent!
Joanne’s meme is right, except that the fools do not realize that things change, and the next tyranny that comes along may not be their friend!  Oh, yes, they don’t care about “next” because they can only see, barely, as far as the tips of their noses.  They are like “Ferruga” they want it, and they want it “NOW!”

  6. Puzzle — 3:35 You won’t be Chow-ing down on this critter Puddy Tat!

    Media Matters —

Vox — Very interesting!  I don’t know a lot about solar but my first reaction is storing the energy as it is produced during the low usage demands so that it can be used during high usage times.

The New Yorker — I thought Drumpf had already pulled out of the constitution.  He sure is acting like it.

Cartoon — If Republicans want pine, make it a box!

My day was free of Republican Rectomania thankfully.  I took it easy all day trying to recuperate from this past week.  I fell asleep this afternoon which is why I am still awake now.  I am going to go to bed now though.  Good night all and see you on the flip side!

  7. MM: It could have been worse, in between the fake Deep State news, Faux news also has some items that weren’t fake but neither were they newsworthy. They had to skim their most local stations to fill their news hours to avoid touching on Drumpf-related subjects that were worth mentioning, but were also gong to scare their viewers. Faux news of course has the duty to protect those tender souls from the harsh reality out there. Can’t have them upset and maybe undo all that brainwashing they had.

Vox: This is a well established fact for most countries that have introduced solar energy to their grid and that is why the focus of durable energy has shifted from enhancing the quality of the solar panels to finding a cheap and lasting new range of durable storage for the over-capacity around noon to be used at night. Of course the energy companies have no interest in developing such storage, because there’s no (short term) profit for them in it.

TNY: You’re starting to sound more and more like the real Drumpf, Andy.

    Cartoon: Before my time here.

  8. Thanks all!  Hugs! 18
