Yesterday was Infernal Revenue Day, which was a horrible pain in the ass, but at least I didn’t owe any money.  I fed WWWendy ribs, and I bet Oh and Shit (what I call her shih Tzu  dawgs) loved the bones.  Today is the hottest day of the year to date.  The Sun just hit the wall, so I know I’ll have to button up and turn on the A/C soon.  On a scale of one to ten, I’m pooped.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:30 (average 4:56).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Vox Channel): What melting sea ice means for life in the Arctic

Wouldn’t it be better to leave it the Arctic as it is? RESIST!!

From Politico: Florida Gov. Rick Scott makes his long-awaited Senate candidacy official Monday, setting up an epic battle against incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson and testing the limits of whether a close alliance with President Donald Trump is political poison or a pathway to success in the nation’s biggest swing state.

Scott has never shied away from his friendship with Trump — who has repeatedly urged him to run against Nelson, Florida’s only statewide elected Democrat. And regardless of the constant string of White House controversies, Scott has only distanced himself from the president to the mildest of degrees.

It there was ever a classic example of needing to support a DINO, this is it! RESIST!!

From Metro: Fox News have accidentally broadcast a graphic showing that they are the least trusted major news network. The broadcaster displayed the Monmouth University poll results during its Tight Shot show Sunday, with less than a third of Americans trusting it more than President Trump.

Hahahahahahahaha!!  RESIST!!

Republicans call this fake news.

  1. 5:21 Sure glad there’s nothing to save here, since I lost time to an interruption.

Vox – This is extremely interesting. Sure, it would be better to leave the Arctic as it is, but that is no longer an option. What we have already done to the rest of the planet will continue to drive change in the Arctic. And in the Antarctic. Frankly, one of my biggest fears is what bacteria, dorman for millennia, will the thawing of the permafrost bring up? And would it be a worst-case scenario, or a best-case scenario of those bacteris cause the near-extenction of the human race? I don’t expect to be around to see, but I hope people younger than I will give this some thought.

Politico – Frankly – whatever it takes to keep Florida’s Lord Voldemort out of the Senate, that is what we need.

Metro – Much as I hate to give Fox credit for anything, the only accident was putting it up too soon. They actually did plan to chow it a little later in the segment, and they brought it back at the intended time. I doubt, however, whether it will discourage so much as one viewer. They will just rant about “dumb libtards” believing “fake news.”

Cartoon – Republicans also call it a “Day of Mourning.”

  2. Even Faux News is more trusted than tRump? That’s enough to make Mr. Spock laugh!

  3. Vox: Very, very scary!!! We must take care of Mother Earth!

    Politicio: UGH!!!

Metro: Faux news is forbidden to view in this house. I saw that, and thought it was pretty cool, and funny at the same time!!

    Cartoon: Of course they would!!!

Anyone see this? “FBI raids Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s office for details on payment to Stormy Daniels” His office is at the Trump Towers… https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/fbi-raids-office-trump-lawyer-michael-cohen-n864121

To which: Trump called raid on his lawyers office an ‘Attack on our Country.’ http://www.msnbc.com/hardball/watch/trump-calls-cohen-raid-an-attack-on-our-country-1206776387913

Glad that you got all your chores done, dinner sounds delicious! I have a little rescue Shih Tzu, and she loves those bones too. Hope that you have a good evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

My deepest condolences to Ted’s family. May he rest in Eternal Peace. He will be missed here.

  4. Y/T-Vox: Can we put Scott Pruitt out on some arctic ice, with a few sandwiches, and check on his well being next year?
Politico: You can be sure that the Empty Orange will be Putin in numerous visits on Scott’s rotten behalf, if Empty is not too busy texting about the FBI’s raid on his lawyer buddy, today-http://www.care2.com/news/member/565542931/4099261
Metro: Trust Faux?  this may be the most honest thing they’ve shown since their inception!

  5. Vox: Excellent video that makes an important point. Temperature changes, in the Arctic and elsewhere, have been occurring over hundreds of thousands of years, in both directions, but it has never caused the large problems this man-made, fast, and accelerating temperature rise is causing. This is because past changes have been gradual, giving most species time to adapt through evolution and find a new balance. Global warming as we see it now may lead to mass-extinction instead of extinction of a few as it did in its (gradual) past. We need to slow it down at all costs if this planet it to survive.

Politico: Agreed, anything, even a DINO, is better than Rick Scott in the Senate. Any chance of a Democrat for governor, though? Fat chance, huh 01

Metro: I don’t think Faux News much cares about this outcome as long as Drumpf trusts them unreservedly. As long as he re-tweets their fake news or, worse, acts on it, they’re still influencing most of the country. It is sad, though, that more than half of the people don’t trust any major news network. Makes you think on what they trust instead.

So sad to hear about Ted’s passing. I’m going to miss that kind man terribly. My condolences to Ted’s family.

  6. Puzzle — 4:54 Not bad considering a certain little girl is lying half on the keyboard restricting my ability to solve this faster.

Vox — The Arctic is a beautiful place (I lived in the sub Arctic for 3.5 years where winter daylight was 6 hours at most) and seeing it change as it is, is devastating.  This is an excellent video that everyone should see.  Unfortunately, Republicans would only seize on the part of “long term effects of more light on sea critters etc are unknown” and proceed to open it up more.

Politico — Another criminal Republican in the Senate???  Please, NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Metro — LMAO!!!  But that 30% is too many people!  But Drumpf, that 20% is truly unimaginable given his lying nature.

Cartoon — And the South still rues that day at the Appomattox Courthouse!

I am truly sad to hear of Ted’s passing.  Crissy Mae will be at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for him.  My condolences to his family and friends.

I hope Oh and Shit enjoyed the bones!.  Geez, that sounds so good . . . ribs.  I have not had ribs for several years.  Our tax day is coming very shortly and I need to get them done asap.

  7. Thanks all.  Very Tired Hugs! 19
