I’m still in the hospital. Tomorrow I’ll meet with an occupational and a physical therapist to form a plan. The doctor thinks the place I live has become more severe than my body can handle. I’ll keep you posted.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, because I think this sounds VERY promising!
The doctor may be right. The heat in the summer certainly does you no good, is probably harmful, and may be unlawful. Given your electrical problems, I doubt that your wiring is up to code. It is time for the building owner to take responsibility or else!

Your doctor's advise may be very good. COPD slowly gets worse, you should find an easier place to live in before you can't move. Talk to the social worker about possibilities, you are poor and disabled – there may be help. If you recall I have COPD even worse than you. Miss you, hope you are better soon.
I think my kids are missing you. They are so accustomed to my rantings about insaniTea that the silence is driving them a little crazy. Of course they all send you their loudest healing purrs!
The possibility of different accommodations sounds good, especially if it means no stairs to the laundry and no insufferable heat. We miss you but your health is more important. We'll be here.

Thanks everyone. The doctor, counsellor, and occuopational therapist are agreeed on it now. I'm still in the hospital, day by day, and will probably go from here, temporaily, to an occuational therapy facility. Thank you so much for the support.

Listen to these people. They know of what they are speaking. Your old place is not good for you any longer. After rehab, a change is in order. They will help you.
Austerity is the way to go unless you are spending money to buy politicians or votes. No amount of spending is too great then. I believe that is RepubliThugs plilosophy.
It would be wonderful if the OT and others could help you get a place suited to your needs, TC! We are rooting for you in words and prayers too (and are visualing a place well suited to you!).
