You wouldn’t believe how pooped I was yesterday!  Except for preparing the Open Thread and helping half a dozen residents of my building register to vote, I slept through the day.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, and the meditation between the Denver congregation and the Oakland congregation will be televised here.  Wooo Hooo!!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:22 (average 4:28).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: Awesome Great-Grandma Gives Romney A Piece Of Her Mind

The freeloaders are people like Lord Willard that stack the deck, so they get tax breaks that allow them to legally evade paying their fair share.

From NY Times: The Department of Homeland Security has stated in writing that foreigners who are same-sex partners of American citizens can be included under an Obama administration policy suspending deportations of some immigrants who pose no security risk.

So it should be.

From Detroit Free Press: The leader of the state Senate said he and fellow Republican colleagues are armed with a proposal to replace the state law that lets emergency managers take over local governments in the event voters strike it down in November.

The behind-the-scenes effort, which doesn’t appear to involve Republican House leaders or GOP Gov. Rick Snyder, aims to keep a form of the contentious law on the books

Cartoon: The worse the outlook for their party, the more desperate they become, so…

  1. Puzzle — 3;28 Love the yellow!

MoveOn — The Raging Grannies are looking for some new recruits I think!  She'd be perfect!  And Rmoney thinks that he has the seniors locked up?  More like the 1% seniors.

NY Times — Finally a little sanity!

Detroit Free Press — There goes the neighbourhood!  Why don't they work on solutions instead of spending time on stupidity.  Oh Republican/Teabaggers.  Sandbagged the citizens again!  One way Michigan could reduce the expenses is to reduce the salaries of the lawmakers and governor.  They are over paid for what they do.

Cartoon — My, my!  They are out in force!  I imagine it will go down after the election.

Something happened and my original post was screwed up.  TC please delete it.  Thanks

  2. Do I get extra points if I do the Tetris???  LOL  Have to admit, during some very rough times this year, I went into the puzzles, now addicted.  Great work, TC.  May your team win tomorrow—so long as they stay out of Bear country.Enjoy your R & R.

  3. Ahhh – the irony and poetic justice of it all …
While Mitt's UNFavorable Ratings are now at the astronomical 49+% level, it seems fitting to note that for most of February and ALL of March Willard's UNFavorable percentage was …
    Take a guess ….
    Yep, you got it right:
    47%!!!
