Yesterday I must have been even more tired than I thought, because, after getting the blog up and eating, I slept from 3 PM until 5 AM, with just a few short breaks.  As a result, I’m somewhat groggy, but that’s OK.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow appears routine.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:11 (average 4:58).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: If Your House Is On Fire, Which Of These Guys Is More Likely To Send In The Trucks?

But Rmoney would be happy to support your homeowners insurance company, if they tried to get out of paying you for the damage.

From NY Times: No American is dedicating as much of his money to defeat President Obama as Sheldon Adelson, the casino magnate who also happens to have made more money in the last three years than any other American. He is the perfect illustration of the squalid state of political money, spending sums greater than any political donation in history to advance his personal, ideological and financial agenda, which is wildly at odds with the nation’s needs.

Adelson’s twin goals are a one state outcome for Israel and to make trickle down gush up faster.

From 89WLS: A newly sworn-in congressman who was injured in a mass shooting last year along with then-Rep. Gabrielle Giffords held his first "Congress on Your Corner" event with southern Arizona constituents on Saturday.

Giffords conducted 21 of the informal meet-and-greet events during her more than four years in office, including one on the day of the shooting – Jan. 8, 2011.

What a fitting tribute.  I wonder is Sarah Palin will put a bullseye on him too.

  1. 4:14  Yours by 3 seconds.  Patty?  Lynn?

  2. Good that you were able to get 14 hours of rest!
Maybe we should just call you "Rip" for short.

  3. MoveOn — All you have to do with this one is look at the faces!  Rmoney has a 'tell someone who cares' attitude on his face.  Mr Obama on the other hand looks totally engaged.   No contest here!  Obama rocks!

    Sheldon Adelson —

"He is the perfect illustration of the squalid state of political money, spending sums greater than any political donation in history to advance his personal, ideological and financial agenda, which is wildly at odds with the nation’s needs. …

Mr. Adelson has made it clear he will fully exploit the anything-goes world created by the federal courts to donate a "limitless" portion of his $25 billion fortune to defeat the president and as many Democrats as he can take down. …

For such a man, at a time when there are no legal or moral limits to the purchase of influence, spending tens of millions is a pittance to elect Republicans who promise to keep his billions intact. "

This is one very dangerous man, the devil incarnate, a man without a soul.  He is a prime reason that Citizens United must be overturned AND election campaign finance laws must be overhauled!  When you consider how much good this money could do in a third world country to bring much needed food and medical aid, and yet he spends it to "keep his billions intact".  He knows no legal or moral limits.

Cartoon — Love it!  Rmoney, the horse's ass!

  4. I am offended on the horse's behalf, Romney doesn't even measure up to the brains, ability, and execution of dressage that a horse possesses.  Now, if you are referencing the region below the horse's tail, then you are right on!
